Methods, systems, and devices for treating osteochondral defects (OCDs) are disclosed. The disclosed methods and systems include collecting joint surface data using image-free methods, generating a three-dimensional (3D) healthy bone model based on the joint surface data and a database of healthy bone anatomies, defining the OCD boundary on the joint, generating a 3D implant model based on the 3D healthy bone model and the OCD boundary, manufacturing an implant based on the 3D implant model, generating an implantation plan, the resected cavity on the joint. The implant includes a 3D-printed titanium alloy substrate having a first and second porous layer separated by a nonporous layer. A polymer material is over-molded onto the second porous layer and treated to exhibit properties that mimic cartilage, while the first porous layer allows the implant to fuse to patient bone.

Methods and systems for implanting a joint implant

Methods and systems for treating osteochondral defects (OCDs) are disclosed. Methods and system for manufacturing a joint implant

An orthopaedic implant comprising a titanium substrate having silver deposited thereon, wherein the silver is operable to be eluted at a rate of at least 0.25 μg/cm2 24 h−1, for at least 14 consecutive days, in use. A method of incorporating silver and/or copper into a biomedical implant includes: providing an implant having an outer surface; depositing silver and/or copper onto the outer surface of the implant; diffusing the silver and/or copper into a subsurface zone adjacent the outer surface; and oxidizing or anodizing the implant after the diffusion step to form an oxidized or anodized layer that contains at least some amount of elemental silver, elemental copper or silver or copper ions or compounds.

Devices, systems, and methods for applying a bioactive coating to an exterior surface of an implant are disclosed. In some embodiments, the bioactive coating may be applied to the surfaces of the implant within the operating room at the time of implantation. In one embodiment, the implant may be a temporary spacer used to temporary replace an implant in a patient suffering from an infection. The temporary spacer being, for example, an antibacterial material for fighting the infection. In some embodiments, the method includes providing a mold of the implant, and providing the bioactive coating within the mold. The method may further include inserting the implant into the mold so that the exterior surface of the implant contacts the bioactive coating, and then removing the implant from the mold.

Systems and methods for delivering a medicament

The present invention relates to a pesticidal control device that includes at least one pesticidal active ingredient, cellulose fibers, and a polymer or polymer matrix. The combination of the cellulose fibers with the polymer allows for a higher loading of liquid pesticidal active ingredients within the pesticidal control device, maintains the active ingredient within the control device during transportation, storage and handling, and provides higher efficacy or control of pests during treatment. The pesticidal control device may be an ear tag, collar, or bee strip.
