An ionic probe is provided according to the invention. The ionic probe includes an active electrode configured to generate a measurement signal for an external test fluid, a first reference electrode configured to generate a first reference signal, and an at least second reference electrode configured to generate at least a second reference signal. The measurement signal is compared to the first reference signal and the at least second reference signal in order to determine an ionic measurement of the external test fluid.

Ionic probe

A low-slope pH electrode () is provided according to an embodiment of the invention. The low-slope pH electrode () includes an electrode body (), a pH-sensitive glass () fused into the electrode body (), with the pH-sensitive glass () including a predetermined area, and a mask () formed over a predetermined portion of the predetermined area of the pH-sensitive glass () in order to form a low-slope pH characteristic. At least a portion of an ion exchange performed by the pH-sensitive glass () is blocked by the mask ().

Low-slope pH electrode

A multiple-electrode ion meter () is provided. The multiple-electrode ion meter () includes meter electronics () configured to receive a plurality of ionic concentration voltage measurements and generate an ionic concentration measurement from the plurality of ionic concentration voltage measurements and three or more individual electrode units () in communication with the meter electronics (). The three or more electrode units () generate the plurality of ionic concentration voltage measurements to the meter electronics ().

Multiple-electrode ionic probe

A unitary ionic probe is provided. The unitary ionic probe includes a substantially elongate body including a central axis (AA), a proximal end, and a distal end. The unitary ionic probe further includes an active ion sensitive region that is located on and bonded into an exterior of the elongate body in a region of the proximal end and an active electrode in ionic communication with the active ion sensitive region. The unitary ionic probe further includes a reference ion sensitive region that is located on and bonded into the exterior of the elongate body and is spaced-apart from the active ion sensitive region and a reference electrode in ionic communication with the reference ion sensitive region.

Unitary ionic probe

A differential pH probe design uses a container having an outer surface and an inner volume, where the inner volume is divided into a first chamber and a second chamber. A first pH-sensitive area is located on the outer surface of the first chamber where the first pH-sensitive area is configured to be exposed to a sample. A second pH-sensitive area is located on the outer surface of the second chamber where the second pH-sensitive area is shielded from the sample and is exposed to a buffer solution. A first electrode is configured to detect a first voltage in the first chamber and a second electrode is configured to detect a second voltage in the second chamber. Circuitry is coupled to the first and second electrodes and configured to process the first voltage and the second voltage to determine a pH of the sample.

Differential pH probe

A wastewater analysis sensor cartridge () according to the invention is intended to be used only once. It has a liquid-tight housing (), which contains at least one electrochemical sensor element () and at least one reference element (). Furthermore, the housing () contains a sensor element electrolyte tank () and a reference element electrolyte tank (). The ion-sensitive membranes () of the sensor elements () and the housing () consist of plastic.

Wastewater analysis sensor cartridge

An apparatus for measuring tubidity of a liquid has a tubular lens of transparent material with an aperture for receiving the liquid. First and second first light emitters are positioned adjacent the tubular lens to produce two beams of light each diverging at a predefined angle and impinging the tubular lens. The tubular lens refracts the diverging beams of light from the two light emitters into separate collimated beams within the aperture. A first light detector positioned adjacent the tubular lens diametrically opposite to the first light emitter and a second light detector positioned diametrically opposite to the first light emitter and a second light detector positioned diametrically opposite to the second light emitter. Each light detector produces a signal indicating an intensity of light received from within the tubular lens and the signals are process to derive a turbidity measurement.
