The invention relates to method of enhancing yield of alkyl taurate amides using enhancing specifically phosphoric acid catalysts. It further relates to the use of phosphoric acid to enhance yield while avoiding and/or reducing undesirable browning.

The invention relates to a method of enhancing conversion of alkali metal salt, preferably aqueous salt, preferably aqueous sodium salt of N-methyl taurine to alkyl taurate amides. In one aspect, the starting salt is pre-concentrated (at least 75% up to 99% taurine salt in the aqueous solutions after water is removed from a starting aqueous solution of the salt) and, in another aspect, the starting salt is not pre-concentrated.

A safe and taper resistant safety lock system for the top of sliding glass doors and consists of a metal bracket fastened to the top edge of the door, positioned on the door with a screw which is normally found in each door, and then permanently fastened to the door with a second screw. A top, horizontal section, is formed by bending a first end of a metal plate, and extends over the top of the sliding door. The safety lock system is adjusted to reduce the gap between the top of the door and the top of the upper track to prevent lifting of the door out of the bottom track.
