A container package includes a container and a lock-on closure that couples to the container. The container includes an annular sidewall. The closure includes a channel portion having an inner, an outer, and a top wall that define a channel. The inner wall includes a primary seal having sealing ridges formed thereon. The closure further includes a single, flexible sealing wiper appendage extending away from the top wall. When the sidewall of the container is outside of the channel, the appendage is in a first position in which it extends downwardly and is angled inwardly so a terminal end of the appendage is freely suspended within the channel. When the sidewall of the container is in the channel, the appendage is in a second position in which the terminal end is closer to the inner wall than in the first position and the appendage contacts the top rim.

A re-closable vent for a container closure which requires no pre-formed holes in the closure deck, provides a tamper-evident feature, and provides simple rotation of a cap structure to open and a vent after punching out a frangible deck section.

A manually extendible plastic spout for use in combination with the closure for an industrial container. The spout has a peripheral flange with a U-shaped channel which receives a downwardly extending flange on the closure so that the spout is installed from the bottom side of the closure rather than according to the more customary top-mounted procedure. The body of the spout is pleated and has an outlet collar which is threaded to receive a cap having a pull-ring, an integral internal seal is also provided. The spout can be extended to any of several stable positions or conditions.

Collapsible spout for a container and method of manufacture thereof

The combination of molded plastic closure for an open top container and an extensible plastic spout adapted to be joined to the deck of the closure in either of two ways. In one way, the spout is molded with a U-shaped peripheral channel which receives a downwardly extending flange surrounding an aperture in the deck. In another way, the spout is pre-molded and then used as an insert when molding the closure.

A molded plastic container having an open top and an outwardly smooth sidewall wherein the interior surface of the sidewall is characterized by a plurality of parallel vertical flutes defined by shallow, smooth concavities joined by flat columns of uniform thickness wherein the ratio of the circumferential diameter of each concavity to the circumferential width of a column is about 8:1. The outside surface of the container is smooth and molded with two integral, vertically spaced, circumferential rings for added hoop strength. The container exhibits a high stacking strength-to-weight ratio. The preferred material is HDPE.

Plastic container with fluted inner wall

Two embodiments of a molded plastic container/closure combination are described. Each can be structured to provide a child resistant opening feature and, optionally, a tamper-evident feature. In both embodiments, the closure has radially extending bayonets arranged around an outer skirt, which bayonets can be rotated into a position underlying semi-annular ribs in a beam molded integrally with the sidewall of the container. Rotation of the closure in the unlocking direction is opposed by a structure which requires depression of a release tab downwardly. In one embodiment, depression of the release tab requires that a frangible element first be fractured and removed from the container sidewall. In the second embodiment, depressing the release tab is made possible by a living hinge formed on one side of the release tab.

Child resistant, tamper evident container

A clam shell plastic container includes a rectangular container body with a floor and tapered sides and an integral lid. The container body and lid are thermoformed in one piece and in an open configuration. A first hinge along the side of the container body between the container body and the lid allows the lid to rotate into a closed position on the container body. A tear strip adjacent the first hinge allows a user to separate the lid from the container body to open the container body. After separation the lid is relocked to the container body along the side opposite the first hinge and a second hinge along this opposite side is used thereafter to open the container.

Tamper evident thermoformed plastic clamshell container

A tamper evident, pull-out flexible spout for use in combination with a container lid wherein a cap can only be removed from the threaded end of the spout by lifting a pair of bail rings which are attached to the cap by way of a set of frangible connectors and thereafter pulling the spout out from the stored position at least part way toward the use position thereby to disengage lugs on an exterior surface of the cap from a pair of one-way stops on an interior surface of the spout ring.

Tamper evident pull-out spout

An all plastic paint container assembly comprising a container, a ring assembly attached to the rim of the container and a pry-off plastic closure having a dual sealing arrangement with the ring member and an undercut lock at a location which provides maximum circumferential area. Containers of this design can be stacked both with and without the ring members attached. Three embodiments are disclosed, providing double and triple closure locks and multiple seals.

Plastic pry off paint can assembly

A thermal protection sleeve for use in combination with hot drink cups comprising a flat embossed sleeve or band of compressed paper embossed with straight-sided geometric figures over much of the surface thereof. However, overlapping end surface areas are not embossed but are glued together with a suitable biodegradable adhesive. In addition, an unembossed logo blank is provided substantially in the center of the band.

Thermal protector sleeve for hot drink cup

A drink-through plastic lid is injection molded in one piece to define a rim structure which snaps onto the rim of a cup and an asymmetric crown having a drink-through opening formed at the high point of an outer deck. An integral hinged flap with a C-shaped seal lip on the inside surface can lock by means of said lip into the drink-through opening when in one condition. The flexible outer edges of the flap latch into a lock-back recess which interrupts an intermediate inner deck formed between the outer crown deck and the floor of a well in the interior area of the lid.

One-piece lock-back lid

A molded plastic container/closure combination providing a tamper evident feature, a child resistant feature and a removal facilitation feature. The closure has radially extending bayonets extending from the outer skirt which fit into horizontal slots in a beam molded integrally with the sidewall of the container. Rotation of the closure in one direction brings the bayonets into the slots for locking purposes. Rotation in the opposite direction unlocks the closure and continued rotation lifts the closure relative to the container to facilitate removal. A resiliently mounted release tab must be depressed before unlocking rotation is permitted. A latch prevents depression of the release tab until anchors on the sides of the latch are fractured. Serrations acting between the tab and the bayonets provide an audible indication of rotation.
