An appliance includes a dispenser for dispensing a mixture of a diluent and a consumable. The mixture may be a beverage wherein the diluent is water and the consumable is a flavorant. The dispenser includes a pressure sensor for measuring the pressure of the diluent at the inlet. The rate at which the consumable is added to the diluent is dependent upon the pressure of the diluent at the inlet. The consumable may be provided in a single container, or a user may specify a particular type of consumable from a plurality of containers provided on a rotation carousel.

A refrigerator includes a rear wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, a top wall, and a bottom wall that are permanently attached to define a cabinet. The cabinet includes an interior liner and an exterior wrapper. A door is pivotally connected with the cabinet and includes an interior liner and an exterior wrapper. A pocket is disposed in at least one of the rear wall, first side wall, second side wall, top wall, bottom wall, and door between the interior liner and the exterior wrapper. The pocket includes an access opening disposed at an edge of one of the rear wall, first side wall, second side wall, top wall, and bottom wall. A removable insulation panel is disposed in the pocket.

A refrigerator includes a refrigerator cabinet, a door for providing access to within the refrigerator cabinet, and a beverage dispenser. The beverage dispenser may be positioned at the door. The beverage dispenser includes a water source for supplying water, a beverage flavor source containing a flavor medium and having a flavor source opening with and adjustable size, and a user interface. The user interface is connected to the beverage flavor source to control the amount of flavor medium dispensed by the beverage flavor source through the flavor source opening. The amount of flavor medium dispensed will determine the flavor strength of a flavored beverage after the flavor medium has mixed with water or another liquid.

A storage bin for use in conjunction with slotwall panel storage systems that can be stacked and snapped together or hung on a slotwall or slot track storage system. The storage bin includes a downwardly opening J-shaped hook and one or more upwardly opening J-shaped hooks extending from the rear wall of the storage bin. When the storage bin is engaging the top edge of the slat the upwardly opening J-shaped hook or hooks can extend into the slot forming the bottom edge of a slat without engaging the bottom edge of the slat.

A tool caddy for use with a workroom storage system that can include slotwall panels, slot tracks, a modular workbench and a power strip. The tool caddy can be movably and removably mounted to the slotwall panels, slot tracks, or to horizontal or vertical surfaces of a workbench or other structure. The tool caddy can be removably attached to one or both ends of a power strip. A power strip with one or more tool caddies attached can be mounted to a modular workbench, slotwall panel or slot track. The tool caddy can include a hollow body having an elongated horizontal top surface with a plurality of tool receiving openings, a pair of end surfaces, a front surface and a bottom surface. The bottom surface can have a plurality of tool receiving openings that can substantially correspond to the tool receiving openings in the top surface.

Tool caddy

A refrigerator adapted for use in low ambient temperature conditions such as in an unheated garage or outdoors on a deck or patio. The refrigerator is provided with a low ambient heater to add heat to the refrigerated space when ambient temperatures outside the refrigerator are low enough that items stored in the refrigerator could freeze. The low ambient heater is controlled by an ambient thermostat located to sense temperatures outside the refrigerator. The low ambient heater and ambient thermostat are connected in the refrigerator control so that the ambient heater can not be energized when the cooling system is operating.

The workbench and modules are designed for use in non-climate controlled spaces such as a garage where temperature and humidity extremes are common. A multi compartment refrigeration appliance is provided wherein each compartment is to be maintained at an independently selected temperature. The appliance includes a temperature selection input device for each compartment, at least one compressor, at least one evaporator, at least one fan for creating an air flow over the evaporator, a temperature sensor located in each compartment, and a control circuit to receive an input from said temperature selection input device for each compartment and a temperature signal for each temperature sensor and to produce an error condition signal with a magnitude dependent on a difference between the selected temperature and the sensed temperature for each compartment. The control circuit also controls a speed of the fan in response to a greater of the error condition signals.

Multi-compartment refrigerator control algorithm for variable speed evaporator fan motor

A refrigeration appliance is provided having a first compartment to be cooled, at least one evaporator in heat transfer association with the first compartment, a defrost heater associated with the evaporator, a temperature sensor associated with the evaporator, and a control circuit. The control circuit is arranged to selectively energize the defrost heater during a defrost cycle, selectively deenergize the defrost heater during the defrost cycle, generate a timing signal while the defrost heater is deenergized during the defrost cycle, and the control circuit is arranged to receive an input from the temperature sensor, and an accumulation of time from the timing signal. A method of operating such a refrigeration appliance includes operating the evaporator to cool the first compartment, initiating the defrost cycle to defrost the evaporator, repeatedly energizing the defrost heater for a first time period and deenergizing the defrost heater for a second time period during the defrost cycle, and terminating the defrost cycle after said evaporator has reached a predetermined optimum temperature.

Refrigeration appliance with pulsed defrost heater

A method of maximizing ice production in a refrigeration. The method includes monitoring a fill level of an ice storage bin and when the fill level is below a predetermined full level, energizing a water valve to dispense water into a mold, an alternate cooling routine is initiated comprising energizing an evaporator fan for a predetermined time period being equal to a time period necessary to freeze the water in the mold, controlling a temperature in a fresh food compartment by opening and closing an air door positioned in the air flow between the evaporator and the fresh food compartment, dispensing the ice from the mold to the storage bin upon a completion of the predetermined time period, and determining whether the storage bin is filled and if so, terminating the alternate cooling routine and if not, reenergizing the water valve and continuing the alternate cooling routine.
