A chum delivery assembly for facilitating the rapid and strategic dispersement of chum along a bottom surface of a body of water in order to attract fish, the assembly including a containment member having a base, a surrounding wall surface, and an upper surface which together define an open interior chamber. The open interior chamber is structured to contain a quantity of chum therein, and a lowering line is included and structured to adjustably lower the containment member to a desired delivery location. The base of the chum delivery assembly includes a generally open configuration so as to permit the free passage of the chum therethrough from the open interior chamber, with a rigid panel being provided and disposed to selectively cover the base so as to prevent the free passage of chum through the base until desired. As such, the rigid panel is structured to be removed from a covering orientation over the base when the containment member is substantially at the delivery location such that all of the chum contained in the open interior chamber is released in a substantially concentrated manner at the delivery location.

Chum delivery assembly

A solid detergent composition useful for machine dishwashing is described. The product contains a first layer having an oxygen bleach system, a buffering system, a builder, and an enzyme. The first layer dissolves to deliver a pH of about 8.5 to about 11 in the wash water. A second layer includes an effective amount of an acidity agent and a continuous medium having a melting point in the range of from about 35.degree. C. to about 50.degree. C. The material may be a paraffin wax, a natural wax, a polyvinyl ether, fatty acids and mixtures thereof. The second layer dissolves in wash water to deliver a pH of from about 6.5 to about 9. The release order of the functional ingredients allows for a high level of peracid species generation in the initial wash stages followed by optimum bleaching throughout the wash.

Machine dishwashing tablets containing an oxygen bleach system

A solid detergent composition useful for machine dishwashing is described. The product contains a first layer having a buffering system, a builder and an enzyme. The first layer dissolves to deliver a pH of about 9.0 to about 11 in the wash water. A second layer includes a peracid and an acidity agent in a continuous medium having a melting point in the range of from about 35.degree. C. to about 50.degree. C. The material may be a paraffin wax, a natural wax, a polyvinyl ether, fatty acids and mixtures thereof. The second layer dissolves in wash water to deliver a pH of from about 6.5 to about 9. The release order of the functional ingredients allows for a optimum bleaching of stains as well as removal of soil.

Machine dishwashing tablets containing a peracid

A solid detergent composition and a method of using the composition in a machine dishwasher is described. The product contains a first layer having an oxygen bleaching system, a buffering system of a builder, and an enzyme. The first layer dissolves to deliver a pH of about 8.5 to about 11 in the wash water. A second layer includes an effective amount of an acidity agent selected from an inorganic acid, an organic acid and mixtures thereof, a continuous medium having a melting point in the range of from about 55.degree. C. to about 70.degree. C. and an anti-scaling agent. The second layer dissolves in wash water to deliver a pH of from about 6.5 to about 9.

Machine dishwashing tablets delivering a rinse aid benefit

A warewashing composition for a machine dishwasher and a method of using it is described. The composition comprises effective amounts of an organic peroxy acid, and an amylase enzyme which, when incubated at 55.degree. C. in a solution of 2 mM sodium citrate, 1 mM epsilon phthalimidoperoxyhexanoic acid in 36 ppm water at pH 8.0, has a half-life of two minutes or greater based on an activity vs. time plot obtained via monitoring color development at 405 nm of solution samples incubated with p-nitrophenyl-.alpha.-D-maltoheptaoside as substrate and gluco amylase and .alpha.-glucosidase as coupled enzymes; and 1% to 75% by weight of a builder. A 1% aqueous solution of the composition must have a pH of less than 10.

The invention relates to bleach compositions containing, as the bleach, a hydrophobic peroxyacid which is sterically bulky, so that the smallest cross-sectional area of the peroxyacid, defined by multiplying together the two smallest dimensions of the molecule, is from 30 to 80 .ANG..sup.2. Preferred are peroxyacids containing a tertiary alkyl group, a norbornane ring or an adamantone ring. Such peroxyacids are effective for the bleaching of stains, especially hydrophobic stains, with low accompanying dye damage.

Bleach composition

A stable homogeneous liquid detergent composition based on sodium potassium tripolyphosphate, which is either formed in situ or preneutralized, and ortho- or pyrophosphates is described. The composition contains sodium and potassium ions in a K.sup.+ /Na.sup.+ weight ratio of about 0.5 to less than about 1.5, and contains no added alkali silicate.
