A method and system for power management among batteries of varying states of health. Two or more battery packs are switched on and off in square wave pulses to energize a multi-winding transformer, and the output of the transformer is used to power a load. As the state of charge of the battery packs decrease at different rates, the duty cycle of each battery pack's switch pulse is made proportional to its state of charge relative to the other battery packs. The battery pack with the greatest state of charge has the longest on-time and provides the most energy to the transformer, yet all battery packs contribute. A baseline duty cycle is computed by a proportional integral control module, based on voltage measurements at the load. Energy contribution is managed so that state of charge does not diverge even when the battery packs have widely varying states of health.

Scalable method of proportional active state of charge balancing for managing variations in the state of health of batteries

Methods and systems for balancing battery states of charge in a multi-sectioned battery. In some embodiments, states of health and states of charge of one or more sections of a multi-sectioned battery may be determined. A relationship between the states of charge and states of health of the battery sections may be determined. This information may be used apply a balancing algorithm to redistribute energy between the various battery sections in order to reduce a spread between the states of charge due to the varying states of health.

Battery section balancing methods and systems

A method and system to detect a correlation of movements of an input device, sent from a first location, with at least one configurable movement parameter set on a remote computer at a second location remote from the first location, wherein the method includes: (a) sending first movement information from the first location to the remote computer at the second location, the first movement information corresponding to a first movement of the input device; (b) tracking a resulting movement of a cursor of the remote computer at the second location in response to the remote computer having received the first movement information and utilized the at least one configurable movement parameter; (c) calculating predicted movements utilizing at least two possible values for the at least one configurable movement parameter; and (d) determining which of the at least two possible values provides the predicted movement most closely matching the resulting movement of the cursor.

Input-device movement to cursor movement correlator

A high definition video transmitter and receiver are disclosed. The transmitter provides high definition video to a one-point receiver or to multipoint receivers. The transmission network is asynchronous and the receiver re-synchronizes the video. The transmission can be wired or wireless.

Point-to-multipoint high definition multimedia transmitter and receiver

A method and apparatus of discovering and installing managed appliances remotely using a protocol for communication on the network is described. The protocol permits a client workstation to issue a broadcast message on the network. The managed appliances will send a reply message to the workstation which includes their current IP configuration. If a managed appliance has not been properly configured, the workstation can remotely instruct the managed appliance to set its IP configuration as desired. In the event that the managed appliance is a KVM switch, the managed appliance can store information about the servers connected to it. This information can be requested by and reported to the workstation using the protocol.

Method and apparatus for discovery and installation of network devices through a network

A pump-off control for a pumpjack unit. The pumpjack unit has a flow line therefrom connected to a tank battery. A control device is connected in the flow line so that all of the production must flow therethrough. The control apparatus includes an orifice placed in the flow line and a bypass arranged for flow to occur around the orifice. A movable member is placed within the bypass and each stroke of the pumpjack moves the member in proportion to the quantity of liquid flowing therethrough. The movable member is connected to actuate a switch device, indicator, chart, and counter. The orifice is sized respective to the movable member so that each stroke of the pumpjace causes the movable member to move in proportion to the produced fluid forced through the bypass. The switch device is positioned to be actuated at a predetermined flow rate each stroke of the pump. The switch device actuates circuitry which causes the pumpjack unit to be shut-in whenever the cyclic flow is less than a predetermined amount, thereby avoiding fluid pounding and enabling the downhole pump to be operated at maximum efficiency.

Pump-off control for a pumpjack unit

Air motor having a crankcase about which a plurality of expansible chambers are arranged so that a crankshaft journaled within the crankcase can be connected to a bellows of the expansible chamber by a rod assembly. The crankshaft moves a cam means which in turn moves a valve assembly for controlling flow of compressed air into and out of the expansible chambers. Each expansible chamber is formed by a bellows concentrically aligned and placed within a cylinder to form an annular chamber therebetween. The rod assembly is received through a guide and seal means which maintains the rod axially aligned with respect to the expansible chamber, and seals the interior of the crankcase from the expansible chamber assembly. An intermediate chamber is formed between the crankcase and expansible chamber which greatly increases the efficiency of the motor.
