An apparatus and method provide personal networks to a plurality of tenant entities on a property network, which has a captive portal and a property identification (ID). Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) are assigned to each of the plurality of tenant entities to define a plurality of personal networks on the property network using dynamic VLAN assignment. Onboarding requests are received from one or more user devices on a specific personal network of the plurality of personal networks. The onboarding requests are processed in a manner permitting intercommunication among the one or more user devices within the specific personal network, to take place across the property network.

An apparatus and method provide personal networks to tenants on a multiple dwelling unit (MDU) network. Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) are assigned to a plurality of tenants to define a plurality of personal networks on the MDU network such that each of the personal networks is for a different tenant and is assigned a different VLAN. Onboarding requests are received from a plurality of client devices of a tenant for access to a personal network assigned to the tenant such that, when provisioned onto the personal network, intercommunication between the client devices of the tenant across the MDU network within the personal network is provided while access thereto by client devices of other tenants is blocked.

Methods, systems, and computer readable media may be operable to facilitate the management of connections between one or more client devices and an access point over one or more service sets. An access point may maintain a list of client devices that have successfully associated with a private service set broadcast from the access point, and when a client device from the list attempts to connect to a public service set broadcast from the access point, the access point may deny the client device's attempt to connect to the public service set. Attempts by the client device to join the public service set may be denied for a predetermined number of attempts or a predetermined period of time. Denying an attempt to connect to a public service set may provide a client device with more opportunities to connect to a private service set broadcast from a corresponding access point.

Methods, systems, and apparatus can be used to provide call routing in converged networks. In various examples, a converged call routing system can be used determine routing information associated with an incoming connection request. Routing information can be based upon one or more of a current location of a communications device or a profile associated with a communications device.

Using an identifier generation algorithm, a device coupled to a communication network generates an SSID and associated encryption key for a mobile device using its unique identifier. The encryption key and SSID are stored to a configuration database server coupled to the network. A wireless-capable device that provides access to the network receives the SSID and encryption key from the configuration database and sends a broadcast message that includes the SSID and unencrypted original information. The mobile user device receives the broadcast message when it enters the presence of the wireless access device. Using the identifier generation algorithm the mobile device generates an SSID and key from its unique identifier and encrypts the original information and sends a return message including the SSID and the encrypted original information. The mobile device is granted access if unencrypted original information from the return message matches that sent in the broadcast message.

Methods, systems, and apparatus can be used to provide concurrent call handover in converged networks. In various examples, a concurrent call handover can operate to transfer multiple calls between domains when a mobile device has two open call instances. An apparatus and method of the present invention allows the digitally decoding of asynchronous communication signals and includes a sampling and storing circuit for sampling a digitally converted asynchronous communication signal and storing sampled signal values corresponding to negative edge signal values, positive edge signal values, and central signal values. A derivative calculating circuit is connected to the sampling of storing circuit for receiving at least negative edge signal values and positive edge signal values and calculating derivatives. A comparator circuit receives the calculated derivatives and compares the derivatives with the threshold based on the calculated negative derivative and produces negative output and positive output values used for determining a decoded output signal.
