A flow regulation tool including a ported landing nipple having a port therethrough, a retrievable choke assembly disposed within the housing, the choke assembly including a choke member and a pressure port, a fluid flow path within the housing that includes a first direction of flow in a first portion of the flow path and a second direction of flow in a second portion of the flow path, and a sensor gauge having first and second pressure sensing points disposed in the retrievable choke assembly, the first pressure sensing point exposed to pressure upstream or downstream of the choke member depending upon fluid flow direction and the second pressure sensing point exposed to pressure at the other of upstream or downstream of the choke member depending upon fluid flow direction, one of the first and second pressure sensing points exposed to the corresponding pressure through the pressure port.

Flow regulation tool

A compact instrumented downhole coupling that includes a carrier and a set of sensors and electronics that are installed within the carrier. The carrier is a tubular structure having couplings at each end and a bore therethrough, where cavities are formed in the carrier wall. The cavities are open to a side facing away from the carrier's bore, where sensors placed in the cavities are accessible through the side opening. Electrical connections to the sensors are made via the side opening, and a clamp can be installed in the cavities via the side opening, the clamp holding the sensors securely in position within the cavities. After installation of the sensors in the cavities, plates are welded over the side opening to form an enclosure for the sensors in the carrier wall.

A downhole fluid injection system comprising: a first fluid line including a first end, a second end, and an intermediate portion, the first end being connected to a fluid source, the first fluid line being extendable along a first portion of a wellbore; and a second fluid line including a first end section, a second end section, and an intermediate section, the second fluid line being extendable along a second portion of the wellbore that extends at an angle relative to the first portion and includes a plurality of fluid injectors arranged along the intermediate section.

Distributed fluid injection system for wellbores

An compact instrumented downhole coupling that includes a carrier and a set of sensors and electronics that are installed within the carrier. The carrier is a tubular structure having couplings at each end and a bore extending through the carrier from the first end to the second end, forming a carrier wall between the bore and the exterior surface of the carrier. The bore and couplings are offset from a central axis of the carrier (the axis of the cylindrical outer surface of the carrier), resulting in a thicker portion of the carrier wall on one side of the carrier. Cavities are formed (e.g., by drilling holes) within the thicker portion of the carrier wall. One or more sensors and corresponding electronics are then positioned within the cavities, so that the carrier wall itself forms a housing for the sensors and electronics.

Instrumented coupling electronics

A gauge assembly deployable from a surface system into a subsurface system includes a device housing having a first end, a second end, and an intermediate portion extending therebetween. The intermediate portion includes an outer surface and an inner surface that defines a device receiving zone. A device is arranged in the device receiving zone. The device includes one of a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, and a communication device. A control line is connected to the device and extends from the second end of the device housing to the surface system. A guide member is mounted to the first end of the device housing. The guide member includes a tapered end section that promotes deployment into the subsurface system.
