A method and system for organizing slides by analyzing content and offering alternative solutions for placing content on the slides in an effective and visually interesting organization is provided. The presentation application automatically generates alternative design suggestions for the provided content that effectively utilize the slide space pursuant to analytics performed on the content. Providing alternative design suggestions for organizing content on a slide assists in quickly and easily creating presentations that effectively utilize slide space.

A method and system for rendering electronic document objects is provided in which a style matrix holds potential attribute values, and attribute references are used to address values in the style matrix. A mix of attribute references and actual attribute values may be used to make some attributes theme- and application-specific, and others theme- and application-independent. Further, a method for rendering a gallery of potential styles is provided. Additionally, a method for associating a style matrix with an electronic document application is provided. Finally, a computer-readable medium for storing a computer-interpretable data structure that identifies a matrix of style attribute types and style attribute values is provided.

A graphics software program automatically generates a style transformation scheme for graphics. The graphics software program receives a selection of a style transformation and a semantic model describing a graphic. The graphics software program assigns style values for different objects of the graphic according to the style transformation and semantic model. A data structure is provided for a style transformation definition created to assign the style values to the objects of the graphic.

The present invention includes a graphics software program that automatically generates a color scheme for graphics. In embodiments of the present invention, the graphics software program receives a selection of a color transformation and a semantic model describing a graphic. The graphics software program interpolates color values for different portions of the graphic according to the color transformation and semantic model. In other embodiments, a data structure is provided for a color transformation definition created to assign the color values to portions of the graphic.

Semantically applying formatting to a presentation model

A centrifugal separator for the separation of the liquid and gaseous phases of a mixture thereof, which separator has an upwardly diverging vortex section with a relatively small diameter inlet to produce a high centrifugal acceleration and a relatively large diameter outlet to produce a low vertical throughput velocity thereat to minimize reentrainment of the separated liquid back into the gaseous phase. The vortex section is preferably hyperbolically shaped to maximize the overall efficiency of the separator. An annular discharge lip extends outwardly from and then downwardly relative to the vortex section outlet for the discharge of separated liquid from the vortex section.
