In one aspect, a method of wireless communication by a wireless device includes generating, by the wireless device, a protocol data unit (PDU) header and a corresponding PDU payload of an angle of arrival (AoA) packet. The generating of the PDU payload includes inserting a supplemental field and a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) field into the PDU payload. The supplemental field is configured to enable another wireless device to determine an angle of arrival of the AoA packet and the CRC field corresponds to a CRC of at least the supplemental field. The method also includes transmitting the AoA packet with a single antenna of the wireless device.

Wireless communication for angle of arrival determination

A method for inductively coupled communication is described. The method includes applying a carrier signal at a carrier frequency to an antenna circuit. The antenna circuit includes an antenna and a matching network that resonate at a resonant frequency. The method also includes measuring a looped-back signal over a range of impedance values. The looped-back signal includes the carrier signal received by a receiver coupled to the antenna circuit. The method further includes setting a calibrated impedance as an impedance configuration that produces a resonance peak in the looped-back signal.

Systems and methods for self-calibration for wireless communication

In a multi-radio user equipment, a power backoff or similar restraint may be placed on communications of a first radio, such as LTE, in order to protect operations of a second radio, such as Bluetooth, depending on the time remaining for completion of the communications of the second radio. Such protected operations may include paging or inquiry operations. A power backoff may be applied to an LTE radio in order to protect completion of the paging or inquiry operations. The power backoff may be increased as the time to completion of the paging or inquiry operations approaches.
