A passenger seat assembly includes features to mitigate privacy and use concerns that accompany backrest recline. In embodiments, the assembly includes a seat frame, a seat pan coupled to the seat frame, a backrest coupled to the seat frame, a backrest extension movably coupled to the backrest, the backrest extension configured to move between a retracted position within the backrest and an extended position above a top of the backrest, and a monitor rotatably mounted to the backrest extension and movable with the backrest extension. In use, backrest extension movement and/or monitor movement may be coordinated with backrest rotation motion.

Reclining seat with coordinated lowering motion and sliding monitor

A dampened hinge construction for braking pivoting movement of one structure relative to another. The dampened hinge construction can be utilized in a folding table assembly in an aircraft passenger suite including a base panel and at least one folding panel pivotally attached to the base panel by multiple dampened hinges. Each dampened hinge includes a first assembly attachable to a first structure and a second assembly attachable to a second structure such that the first structure is pivotable relative to the second structure between a first condition and a second condition, such as a folded condition and a planar condition, and at least one damper that brakes pivoting movement of the first structure relative to the second structure as the first condition or second condition is approached.

Arrangements for an aircraft passenger cabin including a seating area containing first and second passenger seats, a monument disposed at one end of the seating area, and at least one privacy divider deployable in a longitudinal direction of the seating area to divide at least a portion of the seating area for privacy. In some embodiments, the at least one privacy divider includes a first privacy divider adapted to deploy to divide the seating area forward of the first and second passenger seats and a second privacy divider deployable to the seating area between the first and second passenger seats.

Arrangements for aircraft passenger cabins with privacy divider configurations

A multi-panel privacy screen assembly adapted to be deployed between laterally-adjacent passenger seats. The assembly includes an overhead beam having a plurality of tracks, a plurality of hanging panels, a plurality of coupling members suspending each of the plurality of hanging panels from the overhead beam, each coupling member coupled to one of the plurality of hanging panels, to one of a plurality of driven cables, and having rollers rollable along at least one of the plurality of tracks, and a drive mechanism including an intermittent gear assembly operable for driving the plurality of driven cables to move the plurality of hanging panels along at least one of the plurality of tracks according to predetermined deployment sequence.

Multi-panel privacy screen assembly

A braking table system for use in an aircraft cabin includes a rail mountable to a fixed structure in the aircraft cabin, the fixed structure adjacent a seat assembly, and, a table assembly mounted on and selectively movable along the rail. The table assembly includes a support deck engaged with the rail, a tabletop mounted on the support deck, and a braking mechanism carried by the support deck. The braking mechanism automatically engages the rail thereby preventing movement of the support deck relative to the seat assembly, and, upon user action moving the tabletop, the braking mechanism permits movement of the table assembly along the rail. The braking mechanism includes brake arms, each permitting movement of the table assembly in a respective direction, and, in the absence of user action moving the tabletop relative to the support deck, preventing opposite movement of the table assembly.

Braking aircraft table system

A table assembly including a first arm attachable to a fixed structure, a second arm pivotally attached to the first arm, a third arm is pivotally attached to the second arm, and a table attached to the third arm. The second arm is configured to maintain the first arm and the third arm parallel as the first arm and the third arm pivot simultaneously relative to the second arm. The second arm includes a tension member configured to transfer tension along the second arm from the first arm to the third arm as the first arm and third arm pivot simultaneously relative to the second arm. The tension member may be further configured to transfer compression along the second arm from the third arm to the first arm as the first arm and third arm pivot simultaneously relative to the second arm.

Adjustable cantilevered table assembly

A system for identifying forgotten items is disclosed. In embodiments, the system includes one or more item detectors. The item detectors may be configured to determine a calibration value of a stowage area in a calibration mode, and further configured to determine a check value of the stowage area in a check mode. The system also includes a controller configured to receive the calibration value and the check value, calculate a difference value between the calibration value and the check value, and compare the difference value to a threshold value. If the difference value is greater than the threshold value, the controller is further configured to generate one or more found item signals which indicate the presence of a found forgotten item.

System and method for detecting items in aircraft stowage areas

A control assembly for a pocket-style screen or door. Top and bottom guide rollers carried by the screen travel along adjustable guide rails mounted in the pocket. A magnet assembly includes a stationary magnet mounted in the pocket wall arranged to attract a moveable magnet carried on a cable to facilitate final opening and closing the screen. A damper cooperates with the magnet assembly to decrease the velocity of the screen as it moves into stowed and deployed positions.

Aircraft passenger suite privacy screen control apparatus and method

A passenger seat table assembly including a table movable between a fully stowed position and a fully deployed position through at least one intermediate position in which the table rotates relative to a support arm, wherein the table rotates in a first direction relative to the support arm as the table moves from the fully stowed position toward the at least one intermediate position, and rotates in a second direction opposite the first direction as the table moves from the at least one intermediate position toward the fully deployed position.
