A device is described for delivering a therapeutic vibration to a body. The device may include at least two motors in a housing with unbalanced masses coupled to their axles, such that vibration of the masses causes the two motors and housing to vibrate at a beat frequency. The motors and housing may be coupled to the body via a platform which places the motors and housings at or near a resonant structure in the body, creating a coupled oscillation between the platform and the body. The vibration may be based on the input signal, such that the system applies the vibration based on the input signal to the user, wherein the signal may be an audio or video signal. The system may be configured to measure and manipulate the flow of cerebral spinal fluid.

A method for radiation hardening synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM), where Error Detection And Correction (EDAC) is implemented on-chip. Each bank includes a plurality of interleaved single chip Static Random Access Memory (SRAM) cells with bit registers configured to interface with the interleaved SRAM cells. A first column multiplexer (MUX) configured to select which bit register is accessed. A second column multiplexer is configured to select an accessed byte with the WRITE burst or a READ burst from the selected bit registers of the first column multiplexer. EDAC logic is configured to check Error Correction Code (ECC) during a READ burst and generate ECC during an WRITE burst for SRAM writeback during a PRECHARGE command.

Method for radiation hardening synchronous DRAM

A 3D gesture based interface for controlling audio information in flight deck applications is provided. The system and method utilize a set of simple, intuitive 3D gestures, and unburden the pilot of searching for specific audio device controls. The system and method are intuitive and enable the pilot to quickly silence or subdue non-essential audio information, before interfering with essential audio information.

System and method for providing, gesture control of audio information

Cylindrical interior and exterior drums, each drum has a cylindrical side wall with primary and secondary end caps. Fixed primary and secondary supports are provided. Each support has a primary shaft with an interior end fixedly supported by a primary end cap of an interior drum and an exterior end rotatably supported in a support plate. A drive disc is secured to the primary shaft for rotation therewith. The drive disc has an angled exterior surface. The primary end cap of the exterior drum has an angled interior surface. A plurality of cones are in contact with the interior and exterior surfaces whereby rotation of the drive disc and the primary shaft and the interior drum will translate into counter rotation of the exterior drum. A quantity of fluid is located between the drums for generating heat in response to the counter rotation of the drums.

Cavitation heater system

An integrated fuse device () includes a varistor stack (), a thermal fuse (), and a current fuse () within an enclosure () having device terminals (). The varistor stack () is connected to the thermal fuse () by a Cu terminal () and is connected to the device terminal () by steel terminal () of smaller cross-sectional area. Being of Cu material and having a greater cross-sectional area, the terminal () connected to the thermal fuse () has greater thermal conductivity than the steel terminal () to the end cap (). The thermal fuse () comprises a plurality of links having a melting point to melt with sustained overvoltage, the links having a diameter in the range of about 2 mm to about 3 mm. The links pass through an elastomer plug (), which exerts physical pressure on them to assist with opening during sustained overvoltage. Hot melt () around solder () of the thermal fuse limits heat conduction to back-fill sand.

Transient voltage surge suppression device

A connecting rod cap separator system comprising a housing having a pair generally side components each with an inside face and an outside faces adapted to fit inside the circular aperture of a connecting rod; a pair of support screws; an activation shaft with a threading and a crank lever; and a pair displacing wedges each having a pair of sloped faces and apertures extending there through. The apertures are adapted to receive the activation shaft such that when the activation shaft is rotated by the crank lever in one direction, threading of a displacing wedge draw the wedges closer together thereby displacing the side components of the housing outwardly to an expanded state, and when the activation shaft is rotated by the crank lever in the opposite direction, threading of a displacing wedge expands the wedges away from each other thereby contracting the side components of the housing inwardly to the contracted state.

Connecting rod cap separator system

A magnetron especially advantageous for low-pressure plasma sputtering or sustained self-sputtering having reduced area but full target coverage. The magnetron includes an outer pole face surrounding an inner pole face with a gap therebetween. The outer pole of the magnetron of the invention is smaller than that of a circular magnetron similarly extending from the center to the periphery of the target and has a substantially larger total magnetic intensity. Thereby, sputtering at low pressure and high ionization fraction is enabled.

Self ionized sputtering using a high density plasma source

A landscape edging includes a modular member with a closed front portion and an open rear portion, and a left or a right open end portion. The modular member further includes a first panel, and a second panel extending at an angle relative to the first panel. Each of the first and second panels includes a free edge portion. The free edge portion of the second panel is disposed closer to the rear portion of the modular member than the front portion thereof. The free edge portion of the second panel is vertically spaced from the free edge portion of the first panel. The first and second panels define a recess therebetween for retaining material, such as mulch, sand, dirt, wood chips, rocks etc. The modular member includes a connecting member for interlocking with the cooperating connecting member of an adjacent modular member. One of the first and second panels includes an anchor for immobilizing the modular member relative to the ground or a structure about the area to be landscaped. A selected area may be landscaped by immobilizing the modular member about the area. More particularly, a plurality of the modular members may be interconnected to provide a straight, curved or a circular edging.

A lifter bore groover tool having a housing in an essentially rectilinear configuration which has an upper wall and a lower wall and a plurality of side walls. The side walls include a cutting wall and another wall and facing walls there between. A bore is formed in the housing adjacent to the cutting wall. A long cylindrical chamber beneath the bore is in communication with a guide slot extending through the cutting wall. A cylindrical cutting block is axially reciprocable within the long cylindrical chamber. A cutting tool is removably supported in the cutting block extending laterally through the guide slot for contacting the surface of the bore to be grooved. The cutting block and cutting tool are axially adjustable. A bolt is received within the bore. The bolt has an upper end with a head for rotation by the user. The bolt has a lower end rotatably coupled with respect to the cutting block whereby rotation of the bolt will axially shift the cutting block and tool to cut an axial groove in a bore upon rotation of the bolt by the user.

Lifter bore groover tool

The piston ring compressor tool system comprises a compression skirt. The skirt has an interior surface and an exterior surface. It also has an upper edge and a lower edge. The tool system has a hollow, generally tapered, cylindrical tubular form and is further configured in a shape of an upper frustroconical funnel. The funnel forms a planar inlet within the interior of the upper edge. The funnel further forms a lower cylindrically shaped outlet within the interior of the lower edge. The outlet is parallel to the plane of the inlet and is for discharging the piston and ring assembly into a bore. The compression skirt has a generally outwardly curved upper horizontal portion. The lower horizontal portion is generally plumb to the plane of the opening of the lower edge. The middle horizontal area is a transition area between the radian outward curve of the upper horizontal portion and the generally plumb surface of the lower horizontal portion.

Piston ring compressor tool system

A piston ring locating system includes a resilient ring fabricated in a generally circular configuration having a short height and a length of between about 2 inches and 5 inches with overlapping free ends. One of the ends has a slight bend there adjacent for fitting inside the opposite end. The rings are outwardly biased resiliently to allow varying the circumference of the ring as a function of the cylinder in which it is to be placed. The ring thus forms an interior surface and an exterior surface positionable within the cylinder in which it is to be placed. The ring has a top edge and a bottom edge constituting an abutment surface. Projection means extends outwardly from the exterior surface to a short distance and is adapted to be located on the upper edge of the block of the cylinder with which it is to be utilized.

Piston ring locating system

A valve refacing tool comprising a hollow cylindrical column. The column has an upper end and a lower end and has a central bore throughout its entire length. The column has exterior threads at its upper end and an outwardly flared cylindrical support at its lower end. A crown is provided and has a central vertical bore with internal threads removably received by the threads at the upper end of the column. The crown has a lower surface with a radial interior edge adapted to be supported on the upper end of the column. The crown has a plurality of radially extending fins each with an enlarged height at its radially exterior edge and an upper surface at an angle with respect to the vertical. Each upper surface has a dove tail recess. A cylindrical bushing sleeve is positioned within the bore of the column. The bushing sleeve has an upper end located at an intermediate extent of the column and a lower end located beneath the lower end of the column. The bushing sleeve has spaced bushings of a bearing material adapted to receive and rotatably support the cylindrical stem of a valve to be ground. An aperture is formed in an intermediate extent of the column with a securement component positioned in the aperture to contact and position the sleeve with respect to the column. A plurality of grind pads are provided.
