A bone marrow biopsy needle assembly includes an elongated tubular cannula having an axially extending lumen therethrough, and a cannula handle attached to the proximal end of the cannula, the cannula handle extending transversely to the axis of the cannula and having a cavity aligned with and open to the proximal end of the cannula. The handle is provided with a cover connected to the cannula by means of a living hinge. A stylet having a knob affixed to its proximal end which knob is sized to fit within the cavity with the stylet slidably received within the cannula lumen. The cavity is provided with projections that engage the knob to prevent relative rotation between the stylet and the cannula. A guide is provided to facilitate insertion of a stylet into the cannula for sample removal.

Biopsy needle assembly

Disclosed herein is a dispensing device comprising a housing assembly including an outer housing including an end wall having therein an opening, a side wall extending from the end wall and terminating at an open end spaced from the end wall, a second end wall having therein an opening, and interengaging structure on the outer housing and on the second end wall for releaseably connecting the outer housing to the second end wall, an inner housing including an end wall having therein an opening, a side wall extending from the end wall of the inner housing and terminating in an open end spaced from the end wall of the inner housing and forming an opening, and a pin and socket arrangement on the outer housing and on the second end wall for supporting the inner housing within the outer housing assembly and for rotation between a first position wherein the openings in the inner housing register with the openings in the outer housing assembly, and a second position located in spaced relation to the first position and wherein the openings in the inner housing are out of registry with the openings in the outer housing assembly.

Dispensing device

A device for closing a lid of a cap while the cap is still in the mold where it was formed. The device includes a plate forming the moveable side of a parallelogram that rocks between the mold plates during mold opening to press the lid closed and then rocks back out of the way to allow part ejection. The motion is activated by mold opening so the molding cycle is not lengthened by its action.

Mold closing device

An injection mold for encapsulating inserts is described having means to apportion mold clamping forces to simultaneously close the parting line of the mold and rigidly clamp an insert within the mold cavity, whereby inserts of various thicknesses can be accommodated.
