A head up display mirror holder arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a picture generation unit producing a light field. A mirror reflects the light field such that the light field is visible to the driver as a virtual image. A mirror holder has two opposite ends and an activation feature. The two opposite ends are aligned along a rotational axis of the mirror. The mirror holder retains the mirror. Each of two bushings is coupled to a respective opposite end of the mirror holder. A calibration switch has minimum proximity to the activation feature of the mirror holder.

A system includes a conditioning circuit, resistors connected to pins of the conditioning circuit, and measurement sensors connected to pins of the conditioning circuit. The conditioning circuit is configured to determine resistance values of the resistors and to determine a set of addresses for the measurement sensors based upon a combination of the resistance values of the resistors.

The invention relates generally to the field of automated collection and deposition of fluid, semi-solid, and solid samples of biological or chemical materials. More specifically, the invention relates to the field of microarrayers, which are devices for autonomously depositing minute droplets of biological or chemical fluid samples in ordered arrays onto substrates. The invention also relates to tissue arrayers, which are devices for the collection and deposition of solid and semi-solid tissue samples in ordered arrays. Other aspects of the invention relate to fluidics robots, which are devices for the autonomous collection, dispensing and processing of biological or chemical fluid samples. The invention improves the throughput of microarrayers, tissue arrayers, and fluidics robots by providing methods and apparatuses to precisely and repeatably load supplies into the machines.

Apparatus and method for dispensing fluid, semi-solid and solid samples

A mixed signal integrated circuit device, e.g., digital-to-analog converter (DAC), has a serial interface communication protocol that accesses volatile and/or non-volatile memory and allows a preprogrammed output voltage whenever the mixed signal device is powered-up. However, unlike conventional DACs, DACs with non-volatile memory may need special interface communication protocols for effective operation of the DAC and communications between a system master controller unit (MCU). Interface communications protocols that do not violate standard serial bus communications protocols are provided for communicating between the volatile and non-volatile memories of the DAC so that the MCU may access the DAC's memories (non-volatile and/or volatile memories). The mixed signal integrated circuit device has a user programmable address.

A mixed signal device, e.g., digital-to-analog converter (DAC) device has a serial interface communication protocol that accesses volatile and/or nonvolatile memory and allows a preprogrammed output voltage whenever the mixed signal device is powered-up. A locking tubing system includes a length of tubing lying in any geometric complexity including a substantially straight line and a first fitting body having a securing member rotationally locked thereto. The first fitting body is affixed to one end of the length of tubing. The system also includes a first nut having a plurality of openings in cooperative relation to engage the securing member, a second fitting body having a securing member rotationally locked thereto, the second fitting body is affixed to the other end of the length of tubing and a second nut having a plurality of openings in cooperative relation to engage the securing member. The first nut and the second nut are threaded onto corresponding mated fittings, each securing member being engaged with at least one of the openings of the respective nuts thereby locking each of the nuts to the respective fitting body.

A fluid coupling capable of indicating proper tightening includes a fitting body having a flared end with a back side. The fitting body also includes an indicator spaced a predetermined distance away from the back side. A threaded nut is positioned around the fitting body adjacent the flared end and includes a back end and a shoulder portion spaced away a predetermined distance therefrom. The shoulder portion is concentrically aligned with the back side of the flared end. The fluid fitting also includes a belleville washer(s) positioned around the fitting body adjacent the back side of the flared end, which is (are) compressed upon threading and torquing of the nut onto the threaded end of a male fitting. When a predetermined amount of torque has been applied to the nut, the indicator is visible adjacent the back end of the nut.

A angular interlocking floor tile is provided with a generally flat top surface, a parallel bottom surface, wherein the tile includes two elongated sides which converge to a point or short inner side at one end and which sides diverge at an internal angle of less than 90.degree. to be joined at their other ends by a beveled outer edge surface. The elongated sides are formed with a plurality of female cavities located adjacent to each of the sides. Each of the female cavities is positioned to mate with a corresponding male connecting member of a neighboring tile of a runner mat whereby the runner mat is able to make variety of turns. Alternatively, each of the elongated sides may be formed with an additional integral interlocking strip having male connecting members which may be used to mate with a corresponding female cavities of a neighboring tile. When the interlocking strip is not needed it may be removed.

Angular interlocking floor tile

An interfacing floor tile in the form a right triangle with two adjacent sides of equal length is provided with elongated third side opposite the right triangle. Each side is formed with a row of female cavities located adjacent the sides and positioned to mate with a corresponding male connecting members of a neighboring tiles. Additionally, each of the adjacent sides is integrally formed with an edge which slopes downward to a male interlocking strip which extends outwardly in order to mate with female cavities of neighboring tiles. Alternatively, each of the adjacent sides may be formed with vertical edges which rise from the interlocking strip to the surface of the tile. In another embodiment the female cavities are omitted from the elongated side which has a vertical edge and the adjacent sides may have either sloping or vertical edges.

Interfacing floor tile

A quadrilateral floor tile is provided with a generally flat top surface with each side having a downward sloping edge, inclining toward the floor. Two of the sides, being adjacent, are formed with an integral interlocking strips, each having a plurality of spaced-apart male connecting members. The remaining sides of the tile are formed with a plurality of cavities located to the interior to the sloping edge. Each of the cavities is positioned to mate with a corresponding male connecting member of a neighboring tile. In use, the tiles are interlocked with a number of like tiles to form a basic floor surface. When the outer periphery of the floor surface is encountered, a finished tile edge is formed on perimeter tiles by severing the interlock strip from each tile. The length of each interlock strip may also be adjusted to interlock only at points of intersection with neighboring tiles or may be removed entirely to form a smooth edge.
