An endoprosthesis for deployment within a body passage includes a framework and a metallic film, which can circumferentially surround the framework or be surrounded by the framework. The framework and metallic film can be attached without using a third material, e.g., without sewing. The framework can define a circumferential recess along at least a portion of its length and circumference. The recess accommodates at least a portion of the metallic film therein.

An endoprosthesis for deployment within a body passage includes an external tubular framework disposed about a tubular member, e.g., a metallic film having a thickness of about 50 &#x3bc;m or less. The tubular member may be sandwiched between the external tubular framework and an internal tubular framework located internally of the external tubular framework and the tubular member. Whether or not the internal tubular framework is included, the endoprosthesis can be self-expanding. During deployment of the endoprosthesis using a deployment device, the external tubular framework prevents substantial frictional contact between the deployment device and the tubular member.

Implantable medical endoprosthesis delivery system

An expandable intravascular medical device is provided. The medical device comprises an expandable tubular body that includes an integrated resilient support structure that forms a plurality of electrically conductive regions to which the lead(s) is coupled. The tubular body further includes at least one electrically insulative element disposed between the conductive regions. In one embodiment, the support structure is skeletal in nature, e.g., it can be formed of a mesh, braid, or coil. The conductive regions can be variously formed by the support structure. For example, the support structure may comprise electrically conductive sub-structures that form the conductive regions. In this case, the sub-structures may be mechanically linked together by the insulative element(s), or they can be directly linked together, and the insulative element(s) can take the form of insulative layer(s) disposed on one or more of the conductive sub-structures. As another example, the support structure can have a conductive core and insulative material disposed over portions of the conductive core. In this case, the exposed core portions form the conductive regions, and the unexposed core portions form the insulative element(s).

Intravascular self-anchoring integrated tubular electrode body

An inventive repositionable stent may comprise a plurality of adjacent serpentine bands connected to one another by at least one permanent connector strut and by at least one disengagable connector strut. The stent may self-expand within a bodily lumen to an intermediate deployment diameter, wherein the stent is constrained from further expansion by the at least one disengagable connector strut. The stent may be repositioned within the bodily lumen while in the intermediate deployment configuration. The disengagable connector strut may be disengaged via electrolytic detachment, whereupon the stent may expand to a full deployment diameter.

Detachable segment stent

A medical device includes a rotational marker. A marker may be viewable under an imaging device, such as a fluoroscope or an MRI system. A rotational marker allows the rotational orientation of a medical device to be determined with respect to the surrounding environment. A medical device including a rotational marker may comprise an implantable medical device, a delivery system for delivery of an implantable medical device, and the like.

A vascular graft includes a vessel structure having outer and inner wall surfaces. The vessel structure has outer and inner transverse dimensions. The vascular graft includes a fold structure which is integral with the vessel structure. The fold structure extends from the outer or inner wall surface of the vessel structure for altering the inner or outer transverse dimension thereof. A method for making the vascular graft facilitates formation of the fold structure.
