An example vehicle includes a first brake associated with a first wheel of the vehicle, a second brake associated with a second wheel of the vehicle, memory, and a brake controller to execute instructions to detect a first parking event, determine, via a first sensor, a condition of the vehicle, access, from the memory, a record of a second parking event including an activation of the first brake, the second parking event preceding the first parking event, and in response to determining the condition satisfies a threshold, engage the second brake without engaging the first brake.

The processor is also configured to determine a second point in time at which the display shows the brake light illuminated. A header beam couples between A-pillars of a vehicle frame. The header beam is formed from a generally straight beam segment that is extruded to have a hollow body portion with supportive legs extending within the hollow interior along the length of the beam segment, defining uninterrupted forward and rearward box sections for supporting continuous load paths on the header beam. The end portions of the beam segment are clamped and the beam segment is stretch bent to form a curvature between the end portions that remain generally straight. A front flange extends forward along the body portion and is struck proximate the end portions to form an edge that is parallel to the curvature formed between the end portions. The end portions are attached to the A-pillars and the edge of the front flange is attached to a windshield.

A system includes an autonomous sub-system that includes first and second braking modules. Each of the modules includes a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions executable by the processor for detecting a fault. The system further includes a brake sub-system programmed to actuate a brake mechanism in response to a signal from the second braking module. The autonomous sub-system is further programmed to select one of the braking modules to provide a signal to the brake mechanism depending on whether a fault is detected.

A steering wheel position control system for a vehicle comprises a controller for a vehicle. The controller includes a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions executable by the processor. The controller is programmed to receive values from the sensors. The controller commands a pivot mechanism to bias a steering wheel to a stowed position based on values from the sensors. The controller also deploys an air bag based on values from the sensors, wherein the steering wheel is pivoted out of a space envelope of the deployed airbag.
