A log wall construction including a plurality of log blocks, each having a substantially same height-dimension and laid next to each other to form a log block row having a log block row length. Log blocks next to each other have at least one pair of adjacent curved surfaces for each pair of log blocks next to each other. A second log block row of the plurality of log blocks laid next to each other to form the second log block row having a second log block row length and being located on top of the first log block row. A stringer located between the log block row and the second log block row and separating each log block row from each other log block row. The stringer extends substantially an entire distance equivalent to both the log block row length and the second log block row length.

Log wall construction

A seating apparatus that is capable of both sliding and pivoting thereby lending to advantageously positioning a hunter in relation to their prey. By enabling a seat portion to horizontally slide along a plane, the hunter can reposition away from an object, e.g., a tree. Additionally, the seat portion of the apparatus is capable of pivoting in either direction thereby enhancing line of sight to hunting game.

Seat apparatus

A method of centering a disk on the rotational axis of a motor, the motor having a hub protruding into a center hole in the disk, and the disk having an outer diameter and an inner diameter, is provided. The method includes the steps of (a) placing a contact element in contact with the outer diameter of the disk; (b) applying a damping force and a spring force to said contact element, said damping force and said spring force, urging said contact element towards said rotational axis, wherein the magnitude of said damping force is greater than the magnitude of said spring force, and said spring force is of insufficient amplitude to move said disk with respect to said hub; and (c) rotating said contact element to rotate said disk. Also provided is an apparatus for centering a disk on the rotational axis of a motor having a hub protruding into a center hole of the disk, the disk being loosely fixed to the hub and having an outer diameter and an inner diameter defining the center hole. The apparatus includes means for contacting the outer diameter of the disk, and for rotating the disk. The apparatus further includes shock absorber means, coupled to the means for contacting, for applying a first force and a second force toward the rotational axis of the motor, where the first force being constantly applied and is of insufficient amplitude to move the disk with respect to the hub, the second force urges the means for contacting in the direction of the rotational axis when the disk is rotated to generate a third force in the direction away from the rotational axis, the second force being greater than the first force and of sufficient amplitude to move the disk with respect to the hub.

Disk centering method and apparatus for centering disks for disk drives

A method of centering a disk on a disk drive motor with respect to the rotational axis of the motor and/or for balancing the disk to reduce operating vibration of the disk and motor assembly. The centering/balancing method is performed by placing a contact element in contact with the outer diameter of the disk and moving the contact element towards the rotational axis of the motor until the inner diameter of the disk contacts a portion of the hub of the motor which protrudes into the center hole of the disk. Then, the disk is rotated while the contact element is simultaneously moved away from the rotational axis of the motor at a rate related to the rotational speed of the disk. An apparatus for performing the centering/balancing methods includes an element for contacting the outer diameter of the disk, and a mechanism for moving the contact element towards the rotational axis of the motor until the inner diameter of the disk contacts the portion of the hub protruding into the hole in the disk and for simultaneously rotating the disk and moving the contact element away from the rotational axis of the motor at a rate related to the rotational velocity of the disk.

A feed mechanism for a tape applying machine in the semiconductor lead frame arts, especially suitable for discrete pieces of lead frame, in which pins are inserted into holes in the lead frame and advanced periodically. The pins are deliberately made smaller than the holes and moved in such a way as to always return to the center of the holes, well clear of the edges, before entering or withdrawing from the holes.

Discrete strip taper

A roller, for guiding strips of material, that can tilt in one plane with respect to a support shaft located inside the roller but is carefully prevented from moving out of the one plane by separate guides, also inside the roller, which separate guides are independent of the clearances needed in the bearing that allows tilting.

Balanced force roller

The leads on a Semiconductor Package of the type having a generally round configuration and generally termed a header, are crimped into a conducting relationship for plating by means of an apparatus comprising a track type of conveyer for conveying the headers along a specific path, and a pair of rollers disposed on opposite sides of the track for engaging the leads as the header passes therebetween for crimping the leads together in a conducting relationship. The rollers comprise wheels mounted for rotation in opposite directions at different speeds, such that the header is rotated between the wheels but simultaneously moved in a linear direction along the conveyer.

Header lead roller

A method and apparatus for selectively plating the die-attach area of a semiconductor chip header are described. The apparatus comprises a rotary disc assembly. In the assembly there is provided a plurality of cavities for removably receiving individual headers. In each cavity there is provided an annular masking member for masking a header situated therein. Associated with each cavity, there is provided a cam-operated clamping means for clamping a header against the masking member and for coupling a source of potential to the header. Also associated with each cavity is a fluid jet for jetting a plating fluid against the header through a hole in the center of the sealing member. Plating fluid is selectively pumped, by means of a pumping means, to each of the jets along a plurality of fluid passageways from a fluid manifold. The fluid manifold is adapted to couple a predetermined number of the fluid passageways and jets to the pumping means as the disc assembly is rotated. Means are also provided for automatically releasing the clamping means and removing each header from the apparatus after completion of the plating operation.
