An application device for applying a wide variety of lotions and creams to the body. The application device includes a head portion that includes a first end, a second end, a top wall, a bottom wall and peripheral edge integrally coupled to and extending between the top and bottom walls such that a chamber is defined. The bottom wall includes a plurality of holes extending therethrough. A solution is positioned in the chamber. A handle member is integrally coupled to a central portion of the top wall. The handle member includes a first end, a second end and a peripheral wall extending therebetween. An absorbent member for absorbing the solution from the chamber through each of the holes in the bottom wall is securably attached to an outer surface of the bottom wall.

Application device

A system for measuring changes in the resistance of a living body includes a resistance measuring circuit, an amplifier circuit and an indicator circuit in which the amplifier circuit includes a calibration circuit to give a generally constant amplitude response to a given measured input. Radio frequency insulators are included to reduce noise in the system. The circuits are operated such that when an overall change in the resistance of a living body occurs, the resistance measuring circuit is adjusted to determine the overall resistance. To account for changes in sensitivity caused by the overall change in resistance, the gain of the amplifier circuit is automatically adjusted to thereby maintain a generally constant amplitude response.

Remotely located controller

A device for measuring and indicating changes in the resistance of a living body including an analog portion, a digital portion and a source of power for supplying stable power to the analog and digital portions. The analog portion includes a bridge network which includes a potentiometer for setting a reference level for the device. The digital portion includes a potentiometer which turns together with the potentiometer provided in the analog portion and digital processing circuitry and digital displays for determining and displaying a count indicative of the position of the potentiometer and the total amount of rotation of said potentiometer. In addition, a computer could be interfaced with the device to record or play back the changes in the resistance of the living body.

In accordance with the invention there is provided an electrical resistance measuring indicating device including a bridge network having on one side thereof a first resistance arm connected to a second resistance arm and on the other side thereof, first voltage arm connected to a second voltage arm, there being between the junction of the first and second resistance arms and the junction of the first and second arms are transisterized amplifier circuit and an undamped indicating means responsive to changes in the balance of the bridge networks so as to indicate or measure the resistance or variation in resistance of a subject such as a body are part connected to the network across one of the resistance arms. The indicating means includes a moving coil meter which includes a metal frame of zero conductivity having a meter coil wound thereon and an indicating needle coupled to the frame.

A tensiometer having a vacuum gauge which is connected to a sensing unit including a ceramic cup, which is located remote from said gauge, by a conductor in the form of a capillary tube. A second capillary bleeder tube communicates with and leads from the ceramic cup and has a second end which is located below the level of the other end of the conducting tube, so that when said second end of the bleeder tube is exposed, the escape of air therefrom can be visually determined, during purging of the device, so that after all air has been removed from the tubes, the tensiometer can be sealed. The end of the conducting tube disposed remote from the ceramic cup is connected to a lower end of a sight glass, to the upper end of which is connected the gauge, so that when air has been removed from the device and the sight glass, tubes and cup are filled with water and sealed, a vacuum will be created in the system as the moisture in the earth surrounding the cup diminishes, to register this reduced moisture condition on the gauge.
