A materials handling vehicle is provided. The vehicle comprises a main body, a seat deck assembly including an operator seat, and structure for movably mounting the seat deck assembly to the main body. The seat deck assembly moves relative to the main body along a varying radius path.

An adjustable length pole is provided including first and second pole members having slidingly telescopingly engaged inner and outer adjacent ends, respectively. Connecting structure is provided connecting the ends for longitudinal adjustment between predetermined stepped positions of adjustment and the connecting structure includes detent structure defining each of the predetermined positions and yieldingly resisting shifting of the ends from each predetermined position. The connecting structure further includes adjustment structure shiftable relative to one of the ends with the other end and also shiftable relative to the other end between position shifting allowing and position retaining positions. The adjustment structure is operative to non-yieldingly retain the ends in any of the predetermined positions of extension thereof when in the position retaining position and operative to allow shifting of the ends between the predetermined extended positions thereof when in the position shifting allowing position. Further, the connecting structure also is operative to prevent further extension of the ends past a maximum extended position defined by the connecting structure, even when the adjusting structure is in the position shifting allowing position.

Adjustable length pole

A modular infrared heating device having an outer casing which encloses a heating chamber wherein one or more infrared lamps are vertically positioned. The heating device also includes an intake channel which communicates with an opening in the outer casing and with the heating chamber. At least one heat exchanging plate is positioned within the heating chamber adjacent to the infrared lamps such that it is capable of being heated thereby and defines an air discharge channel with a wall of the casing and. This plate has a plurality of open-ended tubular conduits mounted onto it. Each of these conduits is constructed to have a hollow inner channel and is mounted onto the heat exchanging plate such that its hollow inner channel is aligned with a corresponding opening in the plate. The conduits extend into the discharge channel transversely of the direction of flow therein and are curved to present end portions extending parallel to the direction of flow in the discharge channel to induce air flow through the conduits. The heating device is also equipped with a fan which facilitates the circulation of air through the heater. Air moving through the heater passes over the infrared lamps, over both sides of the heat exchanging plate, and through and around the tubular conduits such that it is capable of absorbing heat from these components of the device.
