An apparatus for presoldering electrical components can include a die device having a punch member for punching a solder preform from a sheet of solder, and pressing the solder preform against an electrical component. A heating device can press against the electrical component on a opposite side from the die device for sandwiching the electrical component between the punch member and the heating member, for heating the electrical component and melting the solder preform thereon.

Solder apparatus

An electrical terminal assembly includes an electrical terminal having an electrical connector for engaging a mating connector, and a base pad extending from the electrical connector. The base pad has a bottom electrical contact surface. A securement arrangement having an instant adhesive surface is adjacent to the bottom electrical contact surface of the base pad for instantly securing the base pad to a substrate.

Non-solder adhesive terminal

An air-operated soldering device includes a pair of air cylinders which are operable to clamp a workpiece between the cylinders and a base. A clip holder is then advanced against the workpiece by a clip holder air cylinder. A pair of electrodes are then advanced against the workpiece by a pair of electrode air cylinders, and the electrodes are used to solder electrical contacts to the workpiece. An air operated position sensor is used as a limit switch to determine when the workpiece is properly positioned in the soldering device.
