A flameless smoke pot and a method of generating smoke using the smoke pot. The smoke pot includes a casing having a side wall with an inlet openings and containing a plurality of perforated tubes containing red phosphorous pellets. A heat generating pyrotechnic composition is disposed at a first end of the casing to generate heat which flows through the perforated tubes containing red phosphorous pellets to produce white phosphoric acid clouds of smoke. The white phosphoric acid clouds of smoke are combined with atmospheric an containing water to generate the white phosphoric acid clouds of aerosol smoke. The white phosphoric acid clouds of aerosol smoke are directed through a perforated flame arrester whereby visible flame is prevented from being created.

A millimeter wave screening cloud-forming product is made by forming comped hollow disks of carbon fiber cut to a desired length. A grenade launching apparatus launches a number of grenades and has a conller and a launcher. The controller controls the launching and includes a selector which is responsive to operator input for selecting one or more of the grenades to be launched. The controller also includes a display for indicating that a selected grenade has been launched. The launcher is for launching one or more of the grenades and includes a firing circuit which is responsive to the selector. The firing circuit activates the launcher to launch each selected grenade. The launcher also includes a launch detector for detecting that a selected grenade has been launched by the firing circuit. The display of the controller is responsive to the launch detector.

Grenade launching apparatus

An electrical system which serves to control the firing of multiple grenade aunchers. The system generates multiple coded tone pairs for up to sixteen launchers which are provided to the launchers through a +28VDC line connected to the vehicular power supply. An HE explosive mass is inserted into the resulting compacted hollow cylinder, enabling bursting of the compacted mass.
