A multiplier assembly for a power supply and a method of manufacturing the multiplier assembly. The multiplier assembly may be a stack of capacitors and support elements electrically and mechanically coupled together to form a first capacitor string and a second capacitor string. The support elements may electrically and mechanically connect adjacent series capacitors in the first capacitor string. Additionally or alternatively, the support elements may electrically and mechanically connect adjacent series capacitors in the second capacitor string. In one embodiment, the power supply may include drive and feedback circuitry capable of controlling operation of the multiplier assembly.

Power supply and method of manufacturing

A manually operated dispenser of the type containing a diaphragm at the bottom of the bottle, such that when the diaphragm is compressed a quantity of fluid is dispensed above the bottle through a spout. This invention uses a unique diaphragm shaped like a blister, that is integrated into the bottle bottom with a slide-pin allowing the blister diaphragm to move up and down, but not side to side. The diaphragm seals to the bottle bottom during dispensing, but when the diaphragm is substantially compressed, the seal self breaks as the diaphragm edge expands radially from the diaphragm axis over bumps on the bottle bottom allowing the diaphragm to refill. At the fluid output of the spout is a channel valve nozzle that channels the fluid into a stream when the fluid flows, but when the fluid is not being dispensed, prevents fluid from flowing back into the bottle.

Blister pump dispenser

A charge-pump voltage converter for converting a low voltage provided by a low-voltage source to a higher voltage. Charge is inductively generated on a transfer rotor electrode during its transit past an inductor stator electrode and subsequently transferred by the rotating rotor to a collector stator electrode for storage or use. Repetition of the charge transfer process leads to a build-up of voltage on a charge-receiving device. Connection of multiple charge-pump voltage converters in series can generate higher voltages, and connection of multiple charge-pump voltage converters in parallel can generate higher currents. Microelectromechanical (MEMS) embodiments of this invention provide a small and compact high-voltage (several hundred V) voltage source starting with a few-V initial voltage source. The microscale size of many embodiments of this invention make it ideally suited for MEMS- and other micro-applications where integration of the voltage or charge source in a small package is highly desirable.

Charge-pump voltage converter

A high voltage surface flashover switch has a pair of electrodes spaced by an insulator. A high voltage is applied to an anode, which is smaller than the opposing, grounded, cathode. When a controllable source of electrons near the cathode is energized, the electrons are attracted to the anode where they reflect to the insulator and initiate anode to cathode breakdown.

Anode initiated surface flashover switch

The design of Shaded Rotor devices to demonstrate the existence of a hypothetical Universal Particle Flux Field is presented. These devices should extract a measurable amount of energy from this Field. We believe the Universal Particle Flux Field can explain all invisible forces at a distance phenomena between masses, charged bodies, and magnetic materials. We propose that the Universal Particle Flux Field is a simultaneously convergent/divergent field, where the particle streams traverse to any point in the Universe from every other point in the Universe. The order of this Flux Field is a nearly perfect disorder, which is an order in itself. The strength of the gravitational component of this Field is conventionally denoted by &ldquo;G&rdquo;. Two neutral masses immersed in such Flux Field will develop forces between them, which are consistent with Newton's Equation of Gravitation. This Field is also consistent with Electrostatic, and Magnetic Force Equations. A magnetic rotor is preferentially shaded with a magnetic stator so that a net torque exists on the rotor. This principle is also applied to an electrostaticly charged Shaded Rotor device. The possibilities that the Beta, the Muon, and the Tau Neutrinos are the Universal Particles and they are producing the Electrostatic, Magnetic, and Gravitational Force Fields respectively, are explored. Laboratory sized Shaded Rotor Devices can be constructed using magnetic and/or electrostatic components; detailed designs are described herein. Circumstantial evidences described herein, indicate that the Universal Gravitational Constant &ldquo;G&rdquo; hence the &ldquo;g&rdquo; of the Earth is direction and time variable, and it has significantly increased during the last several hundred million years; this may account for the demise of the Dinosaurs, and of the giant vegetation.

Universal particle flux pressure converter

This device projects slow moving light beams on the shadowed regions of a windowed room when the sun shines through the window. It includes a crystal-set (,) directly suspended from the bottom of a vertical rotor (,) of a motor (,) by a thread-like member (,). A small box (,), with attachment means to the window, supports the following interconnected electrical components: the motor (,) discussed above, a solar panel array (,), a capacitor (,), and a circuit (,). The capacitor is repeatedly charged slowly when the solar panel is exposed to sunlight, and discharged quickly by the circuit through the motor windings to occasionally pulse rotate the motor rotor about one turn. This occasional quick rotation activates and sustains the smooth and slow meandering rotation of the crystal-set about a vertical axis because of the loose thread-like member coupling between the motor rotor and crystal-set. The refracted and reflected light beams from the sunlit crystal-set produces a beautiful and entertaining light display of moving light beams that ebb and flow over the shaded surfaces of a sunlit room.

A neutron generator employing an electron emitter, an ion source bombarded by the electrons from the electron emitter, a plasma containment zone, and a target situated between the plasma containment zone and the electron emitter. The target contains occluded deuterium, tritium, or a mixture thereof

Secondary electron ion source neutron generator

An ion source which generates hydrogen ions having high atomic purity incorporates a solenoidal permanent magnets to increase the electron path length. In a sealed envelope, electrons emitted from a cathode traverse the magnetic field lines of a solenoid and a monocusp magnet between the cathode and a reflector at the monocusp. As electrons collide with gas, the molecular gas forms a plasma. An anode grazes the outer boundary of the plasma. Molecular ions and high energy electrons remain substantially on the cathode side of the cusp, but as the ions and electrons are scattered to the aperture side of the cusp, additional collisions create atomic ions. The increased electron path length allows for smaller diameters and lower operating pressures.

Solenoid and monocusp ion source

A single-ring magnetic cusp low gas pressure ion source designed for use in a sealed, nonpumped neutron generator utilizes a cathode and an anode, three electrically floating electrodes (a reflector behind the cathode, a heat shield around the anode, and an aperture plate), together with a single ring-cusp magnetic field, to establish and energy-filtering mechanism for producing atomic-hydrogen ions.

Single-ring magnetic cusp low gas pressure ion source

Coaxial conductors are protected against electrical overvoltage by at least one element of non-electroded varistor material that adjoins each other varistor element and conductor with which it contacts. With this construction, overvoltage current initiated through the varistor material arcs at the point contacts between varistor elements and, as the current increases, the arcs increase until they become a continuous arc between conductors, bypassing the varistor material.
