Devices, systems and methods of neurostimulation for treating obstructive sleep apnea. The system is adapted to send an electrical signal from an implanted neurostimulator through a stimulation lead to a patient's nerve at an appropriate phase of the respiratory cycle based on input from a respiration sensing lead. External components are adapted for wireless communication with the neurostimulator. The neurostimulator is adapted to deliver therapeutic stimulation based on inputs.

Obstructive sleep apnea treatment devices, systems and methods

An implantable neurostimulation system comprises a stimulation delivery lead and a neurostimulator. The stimulation delivery lead is coupled to an electrode. The neurostimulator is adapted to deliver a neurostimulation signal to the subject and comprises a microprocessor. The microprocessor is programmed to identify a stimulation operating window for the therapy including a first threshold and a second threshold. The second threshold comprises an awake level and an asleep level. Identifying the stimulation operating window comprises titrating a stimulation setting of the neurostimulator while the subject is awake until the first threshold and the awake level of the second threshold are identified. Identifying the stimulation operating window further comprises subsequently repeating the step of titrating the stimulation setting of the neurostimulator while the subject is asleep until the asleep level of the second threshold is identified.

Apparatus, systems, and methods having or using an improved implantable middle ear transducer for driving an ossicular chain bone to assist in aiding hearing. One embodiment of the present invention is a transducer assembly for converting electrical signals to mechanical vibrations which can be coupled, for example, to the stapes to provide audible frequency vibrations to the cochlea. One transducer assembly includes a pair of fins or gussets coupled to opposite sides of a transducer in the direction of unwanted movement of the transducer. The base of the transducer may be coupled to a base member while the fins have free edges that are near to but not coupled to the base member. Some fins are triangular shaped. The fins may not substantially inhibit vibration in the preferred plane, but can inhibit unwanted vibrations in a plane orthogonal to the preferred direction which can substantially include a plane containing the fins.

Implantable middle ear transducer having improved frequency response

An actuator for use in an IC package test fixture has a base element and a float. The float is attached to the base element with a gimbaled mount. At least one resilient element such as a compression spring biases the float away from the base element and against a retainer. The float has a presser surface for pressing against an IC package surface opposite the IC package contacts, to thereby force the contacts of the IC package against test contacts. The float's gimbaled mount in one embodiment provides up to two rotational degrees of freedom and one translational degree of freedom in the motion of the float. The resilient element provides a predetermined preload force at the presser surface.
