Compounds of the formula I wherein X is a bond or —CH, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof are useful in the parenteral treatment of leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome or lymphoma, especially in patients presenting with cytarabine resistance and/or over 60 years of age.
