The present disclosure provides a composition. In an embodiment, a catalyst composition is provided and includes from 85 mol % to 95 mol % iron metal, and from 15 mol % to 5 mol % indium metal, wherein mol % is based on total moles of iron metal and indium metal. Also provided is a process of contacting, under reaction conditions, a gaseous mixture of carbon monoxide, hydrogen and optionally water with the catalyst composition. The process includes forming a reaction product composed of light olefins.

In one aspect, the disclosure relates to catalysts for electrochemical water splitting, in particular catalysts useful for oxygen evolution at an anode in electrochemical water splitting. The disclosed catalysts compositions comprise a catalyst core component, a shell component, and optionally a catalyst outer component; wherein the catalyst core component comprises a composition having the chemical formula MP; where M is a transition metal; wherein x is a number from about 1 to about 20; wherein y is a number from about 1 to about 20; wherein the shell component comprises a conducting polymer; and wherein the catalyst outer component is a transition metal that is not the same as the transition metal M. Methods and compositions for oxygen electrocatalysis

Perovskite oxides and catalysts containing the perovskite oxides are provided for the thermochemical conversion of carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide. The perovskite oxides can exhibit large carbon monoxide production rates and/or low carbon monoxide production onset temperatures as compared to existing materials. Reactors are provided containing the perovskite oxides and catalysts, as well as methods of use thereof for the thermochemical conversion of carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide.

In some aspects, the methods include preparing a ceria-zirconia solution comprising Ce(NO).6HO, ZrO(NO)xHO, and water; forming a precipitate; drying and calcining the precipitate to produce a CeZrO; adding a nickel-magnesium solution to the CeZrOto produce the NiMg/CeZrO; and drying and calcining a wet extrudate of the NiMg/CeZrOto produce the CeZrOsupported NiMg catalyst extrudate. CeZrOsupported NiMg catalyst extrudates made by the methods are also provided.

In some embodiments, method for producing liquid fuel from landfill gas, the method including providing landfill gas to a tri-reformer, performing a tri-reforming process on the landfill gas within the tri-reformer to convert the landfill gas into synthesis gas, wherein the tri-reforming process combines carbon dioxide reforming, steam reforming, water-gas shifting, and methane oxidation and wherein the synthesis gas has a H:CO ratio of approximately 2:1, providing the synthesis gas to a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) reformer, and converting the synthesis gas into liquid fuel within the FTS reformer.
