An access token broker is executed within a first iFrame, a fully trusted application is executed in a second iFrame within the first iFrame, and a partially trusted application is executed in a third iFrame within the second iFrame. The partially trusted application may identify the iFrame in which the access token broker is executing and request an access token from the access token broker. The access token broker determines whether the request for the access token is to be granted. If the request is to be granted, the access token broker requests the access token from a hosting application. The hosting application obtains the requested access token from an access token server and provides the access token to the access token broker. The access token broker receives the access token from the hosting application and provides the access token to the partially trusted application.

Computer systems, devices, and associated methods of serializing a web page that is of a first format and includes a plug-in including properties of a second format are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method includes identifying, in a manifest for the plug-in, properties for inclusion in the first format in a serialized web page. The manifest may also include metadata associated with the properties in the list of properties. The method includes formatting the properties, including associated property values and metadata, in the first format and adding the formatted properties to the serialized web page. The plug-in properties not included in the manifest can be added to the serialized web page in the second format.

Serializing plug-in data in a web page

A secured method for isolated parts of a web application to invoke APIs across boundaries is described. A host web page receives a first object from a first inline frame of the host web page. The first object identifies a first Application Programming Interface (API). The host web page validates the first object against a predefined APIs for the host web page. Once the first object is validated, the host web page forwards the first object to a second inline frame of the host web page. The second inline frame parses the first object and translate the parsed first object to a second API corresponding to the second inline frame.

Invoking application programming interfaces across isolated parts of a web application

Techniques are described herein that are capable of reordering a multi-level layout using a hierarchical tree. A hierarchical tree is a tree that includes multiple hierarchical levels. Elements of a document may be arranged among the hierarchical levels to provide a logical representation of the document. The elements may be rearranged among the hierarchical levels to cause portions of content that are represented by the elements to be rearranged in a multi-level layout (e.g., a web page).

Disclosed in some examples, are methods, systems, and machine-readable mediums which provide for a focus management framework that provides for greater knowledge and control of focus transitions. An event listener is attached to a root focusable element of the DOM. The event listener may receive all focus interactions with any child element. By listening for all focus events the framework may provide more powerful events that provide both the source element and destination element as event parameters. This framework allows many different applications, such as for example, allowing the application to customize the order focus is transitioned (from the browser's default order), to allow for a history of focus events, to enable a declarative language for defining behaviors for elements of the application that need to be involved with scenarios that depend on focus transition, aggregating messages sent to assistive technologies triggered by a focus transition, and the like.
