A computer tablet storage system. The system may have one or many main docks and one or many tablet holders. A computer tablet is retained within each tablet holder, and the tablet holder is insertable into and removable from an associated main dock. While inside the main dock, the computer tablet is protected against damage and unauthorized use. The main dock includes a door aperture and a tablet tray assembly movable toward and away from the bay door aperture and within the dock housing. The tablet holder (with tablet therein) is releasably engageable with the tray assembly. In the system, the tablet tray assembly is movable between a forward position in which a tablet is extended through the bay door for use, and a tray back position in which the tablet is retracted completely within the dock housing interior. A master control may regulate operation of the system.

Electronic tablet storage and management apparatus and system

An assembly is provided or supporting a flat monitor in adjacent but underlying relationship to a preferably window pane equipped, preferably rectangularly-configured aperture provided in a desk-type working platform. An aperture frame extends about perimeter portions of the aperture. A flat monitor support platform is located beneath but adjacent to the aperture. Joining components extend between and interconnect portions of the aperture frame with portions of the flat monitor support platform. A flat monitor is supportable by the platform with the platform generally suspended from the aperture frame with the aperture frame so positioned in the aperture. The flat monitor viewing screen with the flat monitor so supported is viewable through the aperture. The inclination of the flat monitor viewing screen is adjustable if desired. Various aperture frame structures, flat monitor support platforms, and joining components can be utilized.

A shelf subassembly is provided for adjustably supporting a flat panel. The shelf subassembly is itself supportable in an adjustable CRT support subassembly, which is supported in a monitor support assembly. The shelf subassembly includes a panel support portion for supporting the flat panel display, and a securing device connected to the panel support portion for operably and removably connecting the shelf subassembly to the CRT support subassembly.

Adjustable monitor support for flat monitors

A structure that provides for enhanced access to a chamber defined therein. The structure includes a top member and a support assembly for supporting the top member and together defining the chamber. The invention includes a panel removably connected to the structure and a securing device for removably securing the panel to the structure. The securing device is hidden from view when the panel is connected to the structure. Removing the panel provides for access to the chamber.

Apparatus and method are provided for preparing a viewing aperture in the top deck of a work station. The aperture when formed is provided with a liner sleeve adjacent to its perimeter. The outside face of the liner sleeve engages the edge wall of the aperture and the inside face of the liner sleeve supports rim portions of a transparent panel that is inset across the aperture. Various cross-sectional profiles for the aperture edge wall and the opposing faces of the liner sleeve can be used. The structures provides a reliable procedure for making an accurately sized aperture for monitor viewing in a deck.

An improved adjustable monitor support assembly is provided that utilizes a plurality of interchangeable side support assemblies and monitor supporting shelf assemblies. Each such shelf assembly is engageable with each pair or side support assemblies. Thus, a particular pair of side support assemblies can be used with either a monitor supporting shelf subassembly structure for a conventional monitor or a monitor supporting shelf subassembly structure for a flat LCD type monitor.

A flat monitor is associated with a work station in inset relationship to the top surface of the work station's platform so as to be non-interfering with this top surface usage. The flat monitor is supported in a compartment structure associated with an opening in the platform. The compartment and the flat monitor are preferably provided with a transparent sheet extending over the platform opening.

A combination structure is disclosed wherein a stand-alone desk structure coacts with an underdesk monitor support structure for positioning and supporting the monitor support. Optionally a slidable keyboard tray support can be included with this monitor support. The top platform member of the desk structure includes a transparent portion. The monitor support structure includes a monitor support shelf and a pair of side supports which are each equipped with a U-configured unitary frame having a pair of legs and a cross member. A plurality of transversely extending, vertically spaced load bearable wire members extend between each pair of legs. Adjustable connector assemblies connect the shelf member with selected load bearable members of each side support. Optionally but preferably, each side support can also include a cross transverse bar which is optionally configured to support a drawer slide in combination with an associated respective leg member. Thus, the monitor support structure can not only support a horizontally slidable keyboard tray, but also be fastened to the underside of the top platform member. The combination of the monitor support structure and stand-alone desk with windowed top platform member provides a useful work station.
