Techniques for providing and implementing a single skill associated with custom functionality and system-provided functionality are described. The skill may be used to invoke functionality in response to a user input without requiring a user remember exact formulations to cause the functionality to be performed. The skill may be associated with more than one domain. For example, the skill may be associated with custom sample user inputs (corresponding to the custom functionality) that correspond to a custom domain while the skill may also be associated with system-provided sample user inputs (corresponding to the system-provided functionality) associated with a non-custom domain.

Multi-domain skills

Described are techniques for linking generating a skill-stored user profile, and linking same with a natural language processing (NLP) system-stored user profile. In at least some examples, a user may provide a natural language input to a NLP system. The NLP system may determine a skill is to process to perform an action responsive to the natural language input. To perform the action, the skill may require the user have a user profile stored by the skill, but the user may not have such a user profile. However, the NLP system may store a user profile for the user. The NLP system may determine the user profile stored thereby and may send, with user permission, information in the user profile to the skill. The skill may use the received information to generate and store a user profile for the user. Thereafter, the skill may provide the NLP system with a user profile identifier that the skill may use to identify the user's profile stored thereby. The NLP system may store the received user profile identifier in the user's profile stored by the NLP system, thereby linking the user profiles and enabling the skill to thereafter personalize processing with respect to natural language inputs of the user.

User profile linking

A pet immobilizing system utilizes a vest to located a bladder between a pet's legs. The bladder is rapidly inflated to hinder the pet's movement or to immobilize the pet. A remote electronic device sends a wireless signal to a wireless signal receiver coupled with the pressure source to activate inflation of the bladder. A pressure source may be canister or chemical inflation pressure source that produces an inflation fluid from the reaction of two or more chemicals, A vest may include a waist portion that extends around the pet's waist. A bladder compartment may be configured in the vest for retaining the bladder. A bladder compartment may have an opening to direct the inflation of the bladder out between the pet's legs. A remote electronic device may be a mobile phone that operates an App with an activation button to initiate inflation of the bladder.

Pet immobilizer system

A lightweight, highly portable, yet strong, fiberglass step unit is presented. The fiberglass step unit is tapered to allow removal of the unit from the mold during the two-step manufacturing process. All of the corners and edges of the fiberglass unit are rounded, thus providing strengthening radii at critical points of the construction of the unit. In addition to the strength of the fiberglass, strengthening braces are placed inside the unit and are sealed to the main portion of the unit with an additional application of fiberglass. These strengthening braces provide additional radii which synergistically add to the strength and reliability of the step. A heating coil may also be fabricated within the fiberglass step thickness itself thus providing a highly portable, lightweight, unitary step which may be electrified to prevent the accumulation of snow or ice on the step.
