Slide opening door assembly

In one embodiment, an exploratory linktrace is initiated from an initiating network device with an exploratory linktrace message (ELM) having a target address. Each network device receiving the ELM may then propagate the ELM on a plurality of its ports to a plurality of downstream network devices based on the target address. In addition, each receiving network device returns an exploratory linktrace reply (ELR) for each of the plurality of ports, where each ELR is returned according to one or more mechanisms to mitigate stormed replies to the initiating network device.

Exploratory linktrace operations in a computer network

A location services system used with a wireless LAN network provides wireless LAN Internet access in a venue, and also provides location-based analytics and services. The system monitors the locations of individuals using devices that communicate with a network, and maintain statistics for analytical purposes, and can provide services, such as special promotions and discounts. The system can determine whether a single person is carrying multiple devices, e.g., a user carrying a cellphone (including a smartphone) and a tablet or a laptop; and can also determine whether multiple people are within the venue as a temporary logical group, such as a family or group of friends. These capabilities allow the system to adjust how it communicates with users, and also allows it to adjust the analytics.

Automating identification and isolation of loop-free protocol network problems

Equipment and network resources are automatically tested in advance of scheduled telepresence meetings in order to discover problems before the actual telepresence meeting. When a meeting between telepresence sites is scheduled, a test time is automatically scheduled for performing a test in advance of a scheduled time of the telepresence meeting. At the test time, performing the test to determine whether equipment functions at telepresence sites involved in the telepresence meeting and network resource availability are sufficient to support the telepresence meeting.

In an embodiment, an apparatus is arranged to remotely access at least one node on the path, identify whether a tunnel is configured on the access node and, if so, identify whether the identified tunnel has a fault.

The specification provides information for determining any impacted customers, virtual private networks, circuits, and devices following a path failure. The specification uses an information-gathering component to find system information and uses the system information in determining any impacted units. A report is created that allows a network management system to process the impacted units. If any of the impacted units are customer devices, then the management system calculates the impact on the customer based on a Service Level Agreement.

Analyzing virtual private network failures

A method of diagnosing a fault in a network path comprises the steps, performed at a diagnosing node, of initiating a path discovery test. The diagnosing node receives at least one path discovery test response and identifies the diagnosable node on the network path from a path discovery test response. The diagnosing node remotely accesses said diagnosable node and performs a diagnostic routine at said diagnosable node.

Method and apparatus for diagnosing a fault in a network path

An apparatus and method for determining availability of a network service having a plurality of end points are described. The apparatus and method are arranged to receive a service notification from the service end point notifying availability of a service at the service end point and indicating other service end points for said service, and to identify said service as available if all service end points for said service have notified availability for said service.
