A method includes generating a secret that may be divided into a plurality of segments such that the secret is re-constructed by combining each of the plurality of segments. A method includes assigning each of a plurality of users to one or more groups or groups of groups. A method includes mapping each of a plurality of segments of a secret to one or more of a plurality of users as a function of a number of users within each group. A method includes encoding each of a plurality of segments in a predefined format based on a mapping. A method includes distributing each of a plurality of encoded segments to each of one or more users that is mapped to each encoded segment.

Fragmented encryption of a secret

Apparatuses, systems, methods, and computer program products are disclosed for a dynamic communications session controller. An identity module is configured to masquerade as a session endpoint to a session controller for a communications protocol using one or more network interfaces. An endpoint selection module is configured to dynamically select a destination for a session intended for a masqueraded session endpoint, based on information from one or more destinations. A routing module is configured to maintain and/or direct connectivity for a session with at least a selected destination using a communications protocol.

A graphical user interface is configured to display information related to diagnosis and/or repair of various objects, such as automobiles. The GUI displays relevant reference information, of any type, next to procedure steps of a selected diagnostic or repair procedure. Advantageously, reference information from multiple sources may be automatically selected for display in the GUI according to a current task that is selected by the user. Accordingly, a technician viewing the GUI does not need to access any other reference information, valuable man hours are spared, and efficiency increases. In one embodiment, the layout and immediate availability of relevant reference information may also increase the learning capabilities of the viewing technician. Thus, the layout of information in the GUI as described herein may facilitate increased employee productivity and increased employee learning.

The mechanism provides tools and techniques for administering a directory tree of a directory service database by automatically placing user objects in containers and placing containers on servers, without direct instructions from a user. Methods of the mechanism use a hash function to hash a user ID to obtain a proposed directory tree location, and then place a user object for the user at the proposed location. The hash function results may be stored within an email address of the user for later reference. Some methods of the invention also automatically divide containers of the tree between servers, and some automatically move subtrees of user objects into a new partition when a server or server pair is added to a system that stores the directory tree. Similar systems and configured storage media are also provided by the invention to perform user object placement tasks.
