A system is disclosed in which an eye-tracking sensor signal is received and a moving image is generated to be rendered on one or more displays based on the eye-tracking sensor signal. Responsive to an input control signal from a user-operable control device or based on a determination that the user's gaze direction is tracking the moving image, the system adjusts the moving image.

In one example of the disclosure, a communication apparatus includes a first microphone. The communication apparatus is to be wirelessly and contemporaneously connected to a set of microphones including the first microphone. The communication apparatus is to receive microphone data from each microphone of the set of microphones, wherein the microphone data is indicative of a user spoken phrase captured by the set of microphones. The communication apparatus is to establish based on the received microphone data a selected microphone from among the set of microphones.

Headphones include a pair of cups, each housing a speaker to be positioned over an ear of a user, a processor, a cooling mechanism disposed within each of the cups to regulate environmental conditions inside of the cups to match environmental thresholds provided by a virtual reality device displaying a virtual reality environment to the user, a temperature sensor and at least one additional environmental sensor disposed within each of the cups to monitor the environmental conditions inside the cups, the processor to subsequently analyze data associated with the sensors and compare the data to the environmental thresholds and the processor to selectively activate the cooling mechanism based on the comparison.

Microphone data indicative of a user spoken phrase is captured utilizing the microphone at a communication apparatus. At least a portion of the microphone data is sent to a set of computing devices. A response phrase determined at a virtual assistant service is received from each of the computing devices. A preferred response phrase is identified among the set of received response phrases according to a preference rule. The preferred response phrase is caused to be output via a speaker at the communication apparatus.

Utilizing a data cable infrastructure to provide power includes a detector to determine whether data cables in the data cable infrastructure are being used by a data service provider, a circuit to determine an amount of power that can be provided on each of a number of wires within the data cables, and an adjustable power supply of a power system to selectively provide power over the wires within the data cables in the amount determined by the circuit and based on whether the detector determines the data cables to be in use by the data service provider.

In an example implementation, a method of controlling activity of a device includes concurrently detecting multiple unique device identifier (UDIDs) within proximity of a primary device, and determining that the multiple UDIDs are associated with a primary device activity. The method includes performing the activity while the concurrent detection of the multiple UDIDs persists, and stopping the activity when the concurrent detection of the multiple UDIDs stops.

Examples relate to extending hardware support for sensors embedded in peripherals. In some examples, a driver is used to determine that a peripheral device includes a sensor in response to the peripheral device being attached to a mobile computing device, where the driver is preloaded in an operating system kernel of the mobile computing device. Next, a list of supported hardware features is updated to include a peripheral hardware feature that is provided by a sensor of the peripheral device, and the list of supported hardware features is sent to an application store server. At this stage, a list of available applications that are compatible with the list of supported hardware features is received from the application store server.

An example computing system may include a display and an input device. The input device may include a touch sensor to provide touch data, and a contactless sensor to provide contactless data. A field of view of the contactless sensor is directed away from the touch sensor. Various embodiments of the present invention arc directed to video display systems. In one embodiment, a video display system comprises a display screen; and a video capturing system. The video capturing system is configured to capture line-of-sight video images of a video display user's face and eyes while the display user looks at the display screen, enabling establishment of eye contact between the video display user and the person exhibited on the display.

One embodiment comprises generating a comparison signature for a frame of a video stream and comparing the comparison signature to a reference signature. In another embodiment, a method comprises generating a reference signature for a frame of a video stream and assigning an action to the frame containing the reference signature. A method of guaranteeing a minimum sustained data transfer rate to a chosen device connected to a USB bus. A set of filter drivers are inserted in the driver stacks for at least two USB devices. These filter drivers are controlled by a filter driver controller that provides and receives information from the filter drivers. When a particular device needs a minimum sustained bandwidth for a transaction, the filter driver for that device notifies the filter driver controller. The filter driver controller then instructs the filter drivers for at least one other device to start interfering with USB transactions. This interference prevents the interfered with devices from using any of the USB bus bandwidth thereby providing a minimum sustained bandwidth to the non-interfered with device.
