In accordance with disclosed embodiments, there are provided systems, methods, and apparatuses for implementing schema-driven on-the-fly code generation within a cloud based computing environment. For instance, an exemplary system having at least a processor and a memory therein includes means for: designing an application having a plurality of method calls to perform functionality for the application; defining at least one of the plurality of method calls as a web service identified by a web service URL; retrieving a schema for the web service via the web service URL; parsing the schema to identify a plurality of methods provided by the web service and generating a list of all the methods for the web service; persisting the list of all the methods for the web service in a database system communicably interfaced with the system; exposing a class corresponding to each one of the plurality of methods provided by the web service, the exposed classes referencing the methods persisted in the database system; loading all classes required by the application including any of the exposed classes corresponding to the plurality of methods provided by the web service referenced by the application; and executing the application, in which any call to one of the plurality of methods provided by the web service includes initiating a network call to invoke the web service. Other related embodiments are disclosed.

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for implementing schema-driven on-the-fly code generation within a cloud based computing environment

Software tools assist an access-policy analyst or creator to debug and/or author access policies. An access request contains a query that evaluates to either true or false depending on whether access is to be allowed. Abduction may be used to generate assumptions that, if true, would cause the access request to be true. The tool may perform analysis on the generated assumptions, such as: comparing the assumptions with tokens to detect errors in the tokens or to suggest changes to the tokens that would cause the query to be satisfied, or comparing the assumptions to a meta-policy. The tool may allow an analysis, policy author, or other person to interactively walk through assumptions in order to see the implications of the access policy.

Access policy analysis

Access to a resource may be controlled by a policy, such that a request to access the resource is either granted or denied based on what assertions have been made by various principals. To find the assertions that support a grant of access to the resource, a template may be created that defines the nature of assertions that would cause access to succeed. Assertions may be stored in the form of tokens. The template may be used to search an existing token store to find assertions that have been made, and/or to generate assertions that have not been found in the token store and that would satisfy the template. The assertions in the template may be created by performing an abductive reasoning process on an access query.

Delegation in logic-based access control

A mapping system tailors maps and directions for bicyclists. The mapping system stores map data including data about the suitability for biking along roads in a road network. A cost model, including a turn model, a hill model, and a penalty/bonus model is applied to the road network. The turn model models how long it takes to traverse an intersection. The hill model models a bicyclist's speed based on the road grade. The penalty/bonus model adjusts the calculated cost of a road segment under the turn model and hill model to take account of steep hills and other unfavorable or favorable conditions along the road segment for bicycling. The mapping system generates one or more routes between an origin and destination. The generated route that has the lowest adjusted cost is determined to be a recommended route. The mapping system formats maps and/or directions to display recommended routes.

Bicycle directions

A system and method is provided to enable an e-mail to display a Web-based form. A definition concerning an e-mail address may include form schema owned by a Web site. Alternatively, the definition may contain a link to a Web service that provides the form schema. An e-mail client may download the form schema from the Web service, preferably along with additional data such as information concerning previous e-mails sent to the e-mail address, a FAQ list concerning an e-mail distribution list if the e-mail address represents the e-mail distribution list, etc. The Web site owning the form schema may receive and process e-mail containing the form according to the metadata of the Web-based form.
