A busway assembly includes first and second busway sections and a joint assembly connecting the first and second sections. Each busway section includes a housing including first and second opposing side portions. Each busway section includes a first insulator held in the first side portion and a second insulator held in the second side portion. The first and second insulators each hold one or more bus bar conductors. The joint assembly includes first and second connected joint housings and plurality of joint conductors held in the first and second housings. A first exposed portion of each joint conductor extends out of the first housing and is electrically connected with one of the bus bar conductors of the first busway section. A second exposed portion of each joint conductor extends out of the second housing and is electrically connected with one of the bus bar conductors of the second busway section.

Busway systems and related assemblies and methods

A plug-in device for use with a busway system comprising a busway housing defining a longitudinal axis includes a stab base housing having first and second opposite sides, one or more stab conductors extending out of and away from the stab base housing at each of the first and second sides of the stab base housing, and a first alignment tab on the first side of the housing and a second alignment tab on the second side of the housing. The stab base housing is configured to be received through an opening at a bottom portion of the busway housing and positioned in a first position and then rotated from the first position to a second position. The first and second alignment tabs are configured to allow rotation from the first position to the second position in only one rotational direction.

Busway stab assemblies and related systems and methods

A plug-in device for use with a busway system comprising a busway housing defining a longitudinal axis includes a stab base housing having first and second opposite sides, one or more stab conductors extending out of and away from the stab base housing at each of the first and second sides of the stab base housing, and a ground conductor at an upper portion of the stab base housing. The stab base housing is configured to be received through an opening at a bottom portion of the busway housing and positioned in a first position and then rotated from the first position to a second position. The ground conductor is configured to contact a top wall of the busway housing in each of the first and second positions.

An apparatus includes a first enclosure configured to be mounted on a first wall of a bus duct and housing at least one circuit protective device and a connector assembly configured to engage an outlet of the bus duct of the first wall of the bus duct. The apparatus further includes a second unit including a second enclosure mounted on the first enclosure and housing at least one metering device and wiring passing between the first and second enclosures.

Bus plug apparatus using multiple interconnected enclosures

A cover assembly for use with a joint between first and second busway sections includes: a lower cover sized and configured to be positioned below the joint; an upper cover sized and configured to be positioned above the joint; and a plurality of elongated fasteners. With the lower and upper covers in position, each fastener is sized and configured to extend through a respective pathway that extends through one of the first and second busway sections and is defined by aligned apertures of the upper cover and fastener receiving features of the lower cover to secure the upper and lower covers to the first and second busway sections.

Busway joint structural support assemblies and related systems

A busway section with an electrically conductive housing is described. The busway section includes a lid connected with the housing through a hinging mechanism. Internal slots are also present, along which bus bars can be located. Possible applications of the busway section are feeder sections and plug-in sections.
