Provided is a rearwardly-pivoting door having a pivoting arc in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle. The door may be pivotally coupled with the vehicle by a hinge assembly at a rear portion of the door and a front portion is slidably engaged in a channel receiver when the door is in a closed position. The hinge assembly and channel receiver resist lateral movement of the door to maintain an occupant within a seating area of the vehicle. One or more securing devices may be utilized to maintain the door in an opened or closed position. The securing device may be mechanical and/or magnetic.

A weight-measuring system for measuring a weight amount of one or more items loaded into a bed of a vehicle is provided. The weight amount can be used to determine whether a weight limit has been exceeded and whether some additional action should be taken. In addition, one type of weight-measuring system is operable under varied conditions, such as rapid weight fluctuations, and is capable of measuring a weight amount when the bed is in various positions (e.g., transporting mode or ground-level, loading mode).

An indoor or outdoor induction cook top with a heat management system is disclosed. The cook top controls heat generated by various components, including the electronic controller, mechanical controls, and the induction generators. The heat management system provides precise temperature control and an efficient way of removing heat from the cooktop. The cook top construction provides the ability to incorporate a smooth ceramic glass cook top and a number of induction hobs in multiple arrangements. The cook top also features a reduction in the number of components, the efficient removal of generated heat, the reduction of noise, an increase in performance and a barrier airflow director. Consequently, the cook top may be installed in a countertop without the need for venting above the counter.

Induction cook top with heat management system

An induction cook top may include a heat management system. The heat management system controls heat produced both internally by the electronic components within the cook top as well as heat produced above the cook top when cooking. The heat management system provides improved air flow past and around the internal electronic components. The cook top features an efficient removal of generated heat and may optionally provide a vented housing and direct airflow into and out of the housing or provide a thermoelectric cooling device which permits a ventless housing.

A drive shaft, which is at least partially surrounded by the housing, is driven by the motor. The drive shaft is a worm having a first set of threads on an exterior surface thereof and a second set of threads on the exterior surface thereof. The first set of threads are spaced-apart from and angled with respect to the second set of threads. A first gear, a second gear, and a third gear are all supported at least partially within the housing. External teeth of the second gear are in constant engagement with external teeth of both the first and third gears. A shaft is fixedly attached to the second gear and an assembly is removable attached to the shaft.

A device for cultivating soil or brushing debris includes a frame supporting a transmission, a motor, and a shaft rotatably supported by a transmission housing and driven by the motor through the transmission. A distal end of the shaft includes a passageway therethrough. A fastener is at least partially received within the passageway. A tine assembly may be removably attached to the shaft and includes a first pair of two laterally spaced-apart tine disks. The first pair of tine disks being laterally positioned on the shaft between the fastener and the housing. A brush attachment may be removably attached, and includes a tube, which has a wheel rotatably attached to a first end thereof and a first gear fixedly attached to an opposing second end thereof. At least a portion of the fastener extends through at least a portion of the tube to fixedly attach the tube to the shaft.

A low depth telescoping downdraft ventilator controlled by an electronic controller providing a precisely controlled and efficient way of removing gases and fumes is disclosed. The low depth telescoping downdraft ventilator has the ability to fit behind a built-in oven placed below a cook top unit. The telescoping downdraft ventilator has an almost infinitely selectable range of heights above a cook top with a built in oven. The ventilator collects and draws in exhaust fumes and smoke, filters it and re-circulates or expels it either outdoors or indoors. The inner member of the telescoping ventilator may house the exhaust fans and may move up or down without the use of mechanical switches for elevation detection and stopping. The ventilator may have sensors to detect temperatures, filter change need, fan speeds, telescoping stop points, energy consumption, resistance and voltage, enabling programmable set point operation.

Low depth telescoping downdraft ventilator

An electronically controlled warmer drawer that supports a plurality of products, e.g., towels, in a drawer that is attached to a housing is disclosed. The housing includes a plurality of flow paths constructed to facilitate the passage of a heated gas flow through the cavity defined by the drawer. The drawer further includes a plurality of brackets constructed to support the articles to be heated along with a user interface, vents, blower fan, electrical heating element and two internal chambers. The system is controlled by way of the user interface on the front of the housing that interacts with an electronic control system to operate the heating element and fan. A sensor sends signals to the electronic control system to regulate the heating element and fan.

Electronically controlled warmer drawer

An indoor or outdoor downdraft ventilator moves via an electronic controller through preferably a touch keypad. This provides precise control and an efficient way of removal of gases/fumes off a cook top. The electronically controlled telescoping downdraft creates a nearly infinite and selectable range of heights above a cook top from which to properly collect and draw in, filter, re-circulate, or expel exhaust. The downdraft incorporates a lighting system to illuminate the work surface and sensors to detect temperature, filter change requirements, speed, stop points, power, resistance, voltage, and program med operations.

Adjustable downdraft ventilator

A modular portable gas grill including an energy management system for even temperature control, enhanced flavor devices, and electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical controls is provided. The grill includes a touch control system including sliders or knobs providing efficient, precise and accurate control. Heat and flame deflecting shields provide an improved air draft, heat, and flavoring system and can be removed for cleaning. Modular design construction and a quick-connect gas manifold permit the addition of additional components at a later date such as a rotisserie, and a smoke chute for flavoring. Burner shields protect the burner and flame from greases and liquids. The grill also features the ability to easily convert between propane and natural gas fuel and an electronic reigniting system providing individualized control to the burners. The grill also features a dual fuel mode giving a user the ability to use propane or natural gas along with charcoal or other solid fuel.

Modular portable grill

A hood for a cook top is controlled preferably by an electronic controller through a touch keypad. The hood has front and side walls and attaches to a back wall. It has an internal cavity and structure to restrict airflow out of the hood. The structure also creates an air curtain. The curtain traps and moves heated air and effluents upwardly off of the cook top. At least one blower is located near the cook top for moving the air and effluents. The hood may also have at least one: filter, sensor, duct, lighting fixture, vent, display, and circuit board.

Range hood

An indoor or outdoor induction cook top system with integrated downdraft or telescoping ventilator uses cross flow or centrifugal blower technology. The system is controlled by an electronic or mechanical controller through a touch device, a slide, or knob. These provide precise control and an efficient way of removal of gases/fumes. A smooth glass cook top incorporates the induction hobs and a downdraft. The ventilator's blower assembly has a fan and a filter. The system uses sensors to detect temperature, fire, effluent, filter change requirements, fan speed, power, and voltage. The system has programmable operations and numerous set points.

Induction cook top system with integrated ventilator

An electronically controlled warmer drawer includes an enclosure having sides and a top and a bottom defining a chamber. A movable holder is coupled to the enclosure for movement between a retracted position to support objects within the chamber and an extended position external to the chamber to permit access to the objects by a user. A heating system operates to heat the chamber and a ventilation system operates to move air through the chamber. A user interface with multiple inputs controls a temperature within the chamber. A detection system detects a condition within the chamber and provide a signal representative of the condition. A display device displays information for perception by a user, and an electronic control system interfaces with the heating system and the ventilation system and the user interface and the detection system and the display device so the objects can be maintained at a desired temperature.

Warming apparatus

A non-food warmer apparatus includes an enclosure having sides, a top, and a bottom defining a chamber. A drawer structure has a support member to support objects. The drawer structure is coupled to the enclosure for movement between a retracted position to warm the objects within the chamber and an extended position external to the chamber to permit access to the objects by a user. A heating system heats the chamber and a ventilation system moves air through the chamber. A user interface includes inputs to control a temperature and a humidity within the chamber. A detection system includes sensors to detect a condition within the chamber and provide a signal. An electronic control system is coupled to the enclosure and interfaces with the heating system, the ventilation system, the user interface, and the detection system so the objects in the chamber can be maintained at a desired temperature.

Non-food warmer appliance

A warming appliance having factory preset temperature modes. The warming appliance comprises an enclosure having a wall. The enclosure defines an interior space having an opening. A drawer is configured to be reciprocally moved within the interior space. The drawer having a wall configured to close the opening. The heating apparatus is configured to change the temperature inside the drawer. The user interface is associated with the drawer and configured to control the heating apparatus. The temperature control apparatus is coupled to the heating apparatus and user interface. The temperature control apparatus is associated with the enclosure, wherein food stuff and objects contained in the drawer are maintained at a predetermined temperature.
