This invention includes a synchronized storage server enabled to send the end-point device a notification including the root folder list. The end-point device compares the sent root folder list to a previously stored root folder list in the end-point devices' memory. If the end-point device detects either a new root folder on the synchronized storage server, a change in an existing folder, or deleted content in a folder the end-point device will determine that a change is required to the stored data. Next the end-point device will synchronize with the synchronized storage server and create a new storage list. Finally, the synchronized storage server will send the end-point device a new encrypted folder encryption key which includes the encrypted file contents along with identifying information such as the server name and revision information.

Secure network storage

A method for establishing communication via a VoIP network bypasses the IP PBX component conventionally used to obtain address information. Instead of obtaining the IP address from a location register of the IP PBX, the method involves use of a server configured to assign and provide to the caller's communication device a unique address (IP address/port) of a proxy. The caller then sends a Short Message Service (SMS) text message to the callee with the assigned address of the proxy. Thereafter, the caller and the callee connect at the assigned address of the proxy, thereby forming a communication path. Preferably, the devices operated by the parties are conventional smart phones. According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the method further comprises the steps of: determining whether to encrypt the communication; and encrypting the communication, if it is determined that the communication is to be encrypted. Preferably, the Station-to-Station (STS) protocol is used to encrypt the data packets.

Technique for bypassing an IP PBX

A tire bead breaking tool for removing a tire from a tire wheel rim includes an elongated support, which is positionable across the diameter of the tire. First and second clamps are coupled to the elongated support for securing the tire bead breaking tool to the wheel rim. The elongated support is attached to a first and second bracket. A lever arm is removably coupled to the first bracket and provides force against a bead breaker foot, which contacts the tire. The bead breaker foot is positioned at a 10 degree angle and extends between the first and second clamps for facilitating breaking of the bead of the tire. The second clamp is threadedly attached to the tire bead breaking tool for adjustment of the second clamp with respect to the first clamp for using the bead breaking tool for various sized tires.

The present invention provides a piston for a diesel engine that reduces emissions generated during the combustion of fuel in a combustion chamber and a head that allows more air to flow into and out of the combustion chamber. The piston includes an igniter that ignites fuel injected into the combustion chamber and a piston bowl. The piston bowl agitates air in the combustion chamber to quickly mix the fuel and air before the igniter ignites the fuel and to reduce carbon build-up from unburned fuel in the combustion chamber. By igniting the fuel shortly after it is injected into the combustion chamber, the igniter reduces the time between injection and combustion of the fuel in the combustion chamber. Thus, the amount of NOx produced during combustion is reduced. Furthermore, injection of the fuel can commence when the piston is closer to top dead center and thus more power can be generated. By allowing more air to flow into and out of the combustion chamber, the amount of unburned fuel in the combustion chamber is reduced and thus the amount of particulates produced during combustion is reduced.

Fuel igniter and head for use in diesel engines and related systems and methods

A tire support device for automobile racing tires is a self contained unit which can be conveniently transported and used at a race track or other location for mounting the tire for enabling a person to conveniently and easily perform various procedures on the tire, such as measuring the circumference, run out, and wear of an automobile tire or for preparing the surface of the tire. The mount includes an elongated member for elevating the tire above the ground. The tire support device further includes a mount having a rotatable member for rotating the tire while supported by the mount. A motor can be connected to the rotatable member for rotating the tire and improving the efficiency of the process. A clutch attached to the motor and to the rotatable member enables the tire to be automatically or manually rotated. The mount may be pivotally attached to the base for enabling the tire to be positioned in either a horizontal or vertical position. The tire is secured to the rotatable member by alignment pins inserted through holes in a cap and a tire base of the tire support device and through holes in the wheel of the tire.

Portable motorized tire support

A tire inspection and preparation device for automobile racing tires is a self contained unit which can be conveniently transported and used at a race track or other location for measuring the circumference, run out, and wear of an automobile tire or for preparing the surface of the tire. The tire inspection and preparation device includes a mount having a rotatable member for rotating the tire while supported by the mount. The mount further includes an elongated member for elevating the tire above the ground. Leveling pads can be used to adjust the position of the tire for substantially balancing the tire for providing accurate measurements. Several tools may be interchangeably attached to the mount and used for performing several tasks, such as a contact wheel and encoder for accurately measuring circumference, a dial indicator for measuring run out, or a preparation tool for cleaning debris from the tire or scuffing the surface of the tire. A motor can be connected to the rotatable member and to the preparation tool for automating and improving the efficiency of the process.

Tire inspection and preparation device

The lug nut taper trueing tool includes a first disk which is positioned on one side of an automobile racing wheel and a second disk which is positioned on an opposite side of the wheel. The first disk has an extension sized to fit and extend within the center wheel hole of the automobile wheel. The first disk has a center bore, and a plurality of holes which are alignable with lug nut holes of the wheel. A bushing is positioned and secured within the plurality of holes of the first disk and has a flange which fits and extends within the lug nut holes of the wheel. The bushing has a bore for insertion of a pin, which is attached to a cutting tool. The second disk is attached to a threaded shaft, which is engagable with the first disk for securing the first disk, second disk, and wheel together. The cutting tool has at least one cutting edges and may have either a handle for a person to manually rotate the cutting tool or a shaft end for attachment to an automatic rotation device.

Lug nut taper trueing tool

A tire measuring device includes a first and second telescopic arm slidably attached together. The tire measuring device further includes a pair of handles, each disposed on one end of a rod for enabling a person to manipulate and transport the tire measuring device. A roller is disposed on an opposite end of each rod for rolling against a tire during the measurement process. The handles and rollers are detachably attached to the rods by use of grooves and ball set screws. A measuring instrument, such as a digital readout mechanism and a measurement track, is attached to at least one of the first and second telescopic arms for accurately and repeatably indicating a measurement of the tire. A guard is attached to the tire measuring device for providing protection to the measuring instrument. The first telescopic arm has a plurality of reference markings, and the second telescopic arm has a zero reference marking for alignment with the reference marking of the first telescopic arm to set a starting reference point for the tire measuring device. A pin may be inserted into apertures aligned with the reference markings for facilitating alignment of the reference markings. The components of the tire measuring device may be detached and housed within a case during storage.

Grip apparatus for tensile strength testing of geosynthetic materials includes a pair of opposing first and second grip bars slidably mounted in a frame. Selectively operable locking elements carried on the frame and the first grip bar enable selective fixation of the first grip bar at a desired position with respect to the second grip bar when inserting or removing or loading test specimens. Various constructions of grip bars, and grip jaws mounted on the bars, are provided, including replaceable high friction surface rods, grip surfaces with alternating grooves and shoulder surfaces, and easily replaceable L-shaped grip jaws that do not require disassembly of the apparatus. A plurality of actuating shafts impart movement and grip forces to each grip bar, with the actuating pumps for the shafts being operable simultaneously, separately, synchronously or asynchronously. Preferred actuating pumps for the shafts include fluid driven pumps and, in particular, air actuated pumps providing internal transduction of the air pressure to hydraulic pressure and providing substantial amplification of actuating pressure delivered to the actuator shafts, with improved control in the incremental and decremental pressures applied.

Tensile testing grip apparatus

Improvements in test specimen grip apparatus for tensile stress testing machines includes replaceable grip inserts that are able to accommodate wider than usual test specimens, particularly textile test specimens. The specimen grip means or grip inserts are threadedly retained on and may be substantially wider than their supporting jaw members. The grip housing, moreover, is provided with apertures for access to the threaded retainers for ease of grip insert removal and replacement. In addition, fluid actuation is preferably provided for the jaw members of the improved grip apparatus and a thumb screw is also disclosed for temporarily locking the jaw members in a selected open position, when mounting test specimens or removing and/or replacing grip inserts.

Test specimen grip apparatus

Grip apparatus for use with tensile stress testing apparatus includes a housing having connecting means on the top of the housing for connecting the grip apparatus to the tensile stress testing apparatus. A first elongated bore extends from the bottom of the housing through a portion of the housing parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing to form a receptacle for a test piece. A pair of second elongated bores extend from the top surface of the housing, converging toward the bottom surface of the housing, with the lower end of each second bore opening into the first bore. Each of said second bores contains a slidable grip bar extending into the first bore and having a grip insert secured on the lower end of the grip bar. A spring loaded release mechanism normally retains the grip bars and grip inserts in a closed position and can be manually operated to release the inserts and grip bars by sliding the grip bars upwardly through the second bores.
