The present invention is directed to a keyless shoe lock assembly for a reciprocating saw. The keyless shoe lock assembly is capable of engaging and releasing a shoe bracket for the positional adjustment of a shoe relative to a blade clamp of the reciprocating saw. The keyless shoe lock assembly includes a shoe bracket for positional adjustment relative to a lock plate, a pin for alternately engaging and releasing the shoe bracket, and a lever connected to the pin for the rotation therof. The keyless shoe lock assembly may be used to alternately engage and release a shoe bracket without additional hardware.

Keyless shoe lock for reciprocating saw

An adjustable reciprocating saw has the ability to adjust the orientation of the saw blade in relation to the rest of the tool. The saw blade can pivot about two transverse axes, one parallel with and one perpendicular to the reciprocating motion axis of the saw blade. The portions of the saw's housing which rotate relative to one another are attached with a rotating joint comprising a pin and groove design. Rotation locks selectively prevent rotation of the saw blade about each axis. The rotation locks can be released through simply depressing buttons on the saw. A rear internal bearing increases the durability and decreases the size of the saw. A keyless adjustable shoe is mounted to the saw.

Adjustable reciprocating saw

A nail spacing verification assembly is provided which enables the spacing between nails contained in a collated nail strip, the collated nail strip advancing down a nail loading assembly of a nail gun, to be verified before the nail is allowed to advance. A first and second probe are operationally coupled with each other. If nail spacing is correct, the first probe engages the second probe causing both probes to rotate and the nail to pass. If spacing is incorrect, the first probe does not engage the second probe and the nail is hindered from advancing down a nail loading assembly.

Nail spacing verification assembly

The present invention is directed to a keyless shoe lock assembly for a reciprocating saw. The keyless shoe lock assembly is capable of engaging and releasing a shoe bracket for the positional adjustment of a shoe relative to a blade clamp of the reciprocating saw. The keyless shoe lock assembly includes a shoe bracket for positional adjustment relative to a lock plate, a pin for alternately engaging and releasing the shoe bracket, and a lever connected to the pin for the rotation thereof. The keyless shoe lock assembly may be used to alternately engage and release a shoe bracket without additional hardware.

A nail checker assembly, disposed with a nail loading assembly, provides a pivoting probe assembly which engages with a nail, advancing down the nail loading assembly, and determines if the nail is correctly aligned. If the nail is properly aligned the pivoting probe assembly, coupled with a pivoting probe base assembly, rotates and allows the nail to advance. If the nail is improperly aligned the pivoting probe assembly engages with a lock ledge assembly providing a stop and hindering the advancement of the nail.

Nail checker assembly

An apparatus which enables a user of a pneumatic tool device, such as a nail gun, to determine the required compressor pressure needed to most effectively utilize the pneumatic tool device and maximize the life of the tool. A compressor pressure indication assembly on a nail gun comprising a nail verification assembly and a readout assembly enables a user to verify the length and/or diameter of the nails to be driven by the nail gun and set the compressor pressure accordingly.

Apparatus and method to indicate required compressor pressure for use with pneumatic tool device

A bit retaining assembly for retaining a bit in a rotary tool, in particular a router such as a hand-held router, a table-mounted router, a pocket cutter, a laminate trimmer, a rotary cutout tool, or the like employs a planetary gear system for multiplying the torque applied to clamp the bit within a collet. The bit retaining assembly comprises a chuck for coupling the bit retaining assembly to the rotor shaft of the rotary tool. A collet is disposed in the chuck for receiving the bit. A nut threaded onto the chuck compresses the collet about the bit to secure the bit within the collet. A planetary gear system transmits torque applied to a housing member to the nut for rotating the nut on the chuck. Preferably, the planetary gear system multiplies the torque transmitted to the nut so that the torque transmitted to the nut is greater than the torque applied to the housing member.
