An attitude determination and control system (ADCS) may include relatively large momentum wheels (i.e., reaction wheels) for improved momentum storage and magnetic torque rods that enable low power sun pointing and dissipate angular momentum imparted during deployment or by differential drag on the space vehicle. The momentum wheels, magnetic torque rods, or both may be algorithmically selected and driven to perform various maneuvers.

Attitude determination and control system (ADCS)

A magnetic sudoku board has a housing, a closeable lid and an inner playing surface. The inner playing surface having gridlines to form the magnetic sudoku board. An assortment of magnetic playing pieces includes a large set and small set. To distinguish between the numbers, 1-9, the assortment of magnetic playing pieces has a certain color that corresponds to a specific number. Accordingly, the same number in both the large set and the small set have coordinating colors. These colors visually assist the player so that the same numbers are not repeated in each column, row, and 3&#xd7;3 grid box.

A compact SFS may can be deployed in small space vehicles. The SFS may have a small size, weight, and low power requirements. The hardware, software, catalogs, and calibration algorithm of the SFS provide highly accurate attitude information that can be used for pointing. For instance, accurate attitude determination may be provided that supports pointing of a deployable high gain helical antenna. A full 'lost in space' attitude solution, accurate to about an arcminute, may be accomplished in under a minute. The SFS may be fully reprogrammable on orbit, allowing continued algorithm development and deployment after launch.

Compact star-field sensor (SFS)

An ADCS module may be configured to use coordinate data fromD photodiodes in one or more sun sensors to determine a sun vector. The ADCS module may then use the sun vector in reference to its own body faced (BF) coordinate system to calculate a change in the orientation of the space vehicle. The change in orientation mechanism may be accomplished by reaction wheels, ion thrusters, or other orientation altering mechanisms. A miniature, intelligent star tracker may be included that improves satellite attitude determination and pointing accuracy. An improved reaction wheel assembly may be included that is more robust and suitable for inclusion in small space vehicles.

A modular space vehicle chassis may facilitate convenient access to internal components of the space vehicle. Each module may be removable from the others such that each module may be worked on individually. Multiple panels of at least one of the modules may swing open or otherwise be removable, exposing large portions of the internal components of the space vehicle. Such chassis architectures may reduce the time required for and difficulty of performing maintenance or modifications, may allow multiple space vehicles to take advantage of a common chassis design, and may further allow for highly customizable space vehicles.

A space vehicle electromechanical system may employ an architecture that enables convenient and practical testing, reset, and retesting of solar panel and antenna deployment on the ground. A helical antenna winding fixture may facilitate winding and binding of the helical antenna.

The adapter for use on a compression tool to create a live wire detecting and grounding device comprises a spike engaged to a hydraulically actuated plunger of the tool, the plunger being movable with a jaw defined by a C shaped body of the tool. The spike is conductive, is engaged to a grounding assembly and is used to engage a core of an electrical cable snared within the jaw, causing shorting of a controller for the cable, making the cable currentless. For use with cables of smaller diameter, a reducing sleeve is provided for holding such cables for spike piercing thereof.

A slidably adjustable, readily assemblable box having a slidably expandable base portion, front corner member posts and rear corner member posts. The front corner member posts and rear corner member posts each have portions defining relatively perpendicular slots therebetween. The front and rear corner member posts are secured to the base portion. Detachable front corner members engage the front corner member posts in their perpendicular slots. Detachable rear corner members engaging the rear corner member posts in their perpendicular slots. A detachable, slidably expandable front wall panel pivotally engages the front corner members. A detachable, slidably expandable rear wall panel engages the rear corner members. Detachable side walls engage the front and rear corner members. The front wall panel and the rear wall panel have a slidable length relatively equal to the slidable length of the base portion.

Adjustable box

A materials storage and dispenser case for hairdresser's use including base and cover or top components respectively providing guide channels and mating track rollers that join the components together for combined pivoting and translational movement whereby essentially loose tools and materials are securely stored in the base and top when the dispenser case is closed and can be exposed for ready access when the case is open. When in use, hair rollers or curler implements that may be of varied size are disposed in the vertically disposed top component within chutes that have guide dividers to prevent clogging of the chutes and that assure one-at-a-time dispensing of the rollers. The top is disposed in an essentially inverted horizontal position when the case is closed to prevent the escape of rollers. Separated compartments are provided in the base for the reception of additional tools, liquids, towels and other hairdresser's paraphernalia.
