Correlating devices and clients across addresses may be provided. A first address associated with a client device may be received. When the client device is not connected to a network, first location data associated with the first address may be obtained using a passive technique. A second address and second location data associated with the second address may then be obtained using an active technique. It may then be determined that the first location data and the second location data correlate. In response to determining that the first location data and the second location data correlate, it may be determined that the client device has changed from the first address to the second address.

Correlating devices and clients across addresses

The present technology allows coordination of channels of private wireless networks utilizing shared licensed and unlicensed spectrum. Wireless network operators in an enterprise location register to participate in a consortium and register licensed, shared, and unlicensed spectrum resources to be shared with other members of the consortium. The wireless network operators request an allocation of spectrum resources from the consortium. The consortium generates a radio resource management ('RRM') plan for shared use of the licensed, shared, and unlicensed spectrum resources. The consortium combines the allocated licensed, shared, and unlicensed spectrum from each of the wireless network operators to meet the target RRM plan. The consortium monitors spectrum utilization to dynamically update the RRM. The consortium monitors spectrum utilization in real time to determine how closely the RRM plan matches the resources allocated to each wireless network operator.

Channel coordination of private wireless networks utilizing shared spectrum

A Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) based network, such as an enterprise private 3GPP network, is operative to provide a guest onboarding of a device using a realm-based discovery of an identity provider and a mutual authentication of identity federation peers. A secure connection may be established between the peers so that the device may be authenticated based on credentials associated with a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) provided by its Mobile Network Operator (MNO). Credentials may be extended to those associated with embedded SIMs (eSIMs), digital certificates from private enterprises, login and passwords, and identities from a wide range of identity providers. After device authentication, the 3GPP-based network is operative to select and enforce access policies according to an identity or other attribute of the device.

Guest onboarding of devices onto 3GPP-based networks with use of realm-based discovery of identity providers and mutual authentication of identity federation peers

Multi-User Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) data transmissions are provided with a forward-predictive precoding matrix to mitigate the effects of a change in a state of a communication channel. First and second soundings are performed, at first and second times, to a receive antenna over a channel and, responsive to each of the soundings, first and second Channel State Information (CSI) are received. Based on the first and second CSI, a change in a state of the channel over a time period between the first and second time is determined. Based on the change in the state of the channel, a forward-predictive channel state matrix and/or a forward-predictive precoding matrix are determined that reflect a state of the channel at a future time and that are consistent with the determined change in the state over the time period. The forward-predictive precoding matrix is applied to a data transmission.

In one illustrative example, network fabric policy data associated with an application, subscriber, and/or device may be received. Mobile network policy data that corresponds to the received network fabric policy data may be selected, based on stored policy mappings between a set of network fabric policy profiles of a fabric network and a set of mobile network policy profiles of a mobile network. A bearer or Quality of Service (QoS) flow of the mobile network may be established in satisfaction of the selected mobile network policy data. In addition, a packet filter of a traffic flow template (TFT) or a packet detection rule (PDR) may be generated and applied in order to direct IP traffic flows associated with the application to the established bearer or QoS flow for communication in the mobile network.

Enterprise network fabric extension across mobile networks

Various embodiments herein disclose scheduling relay of traffic. The method comprises, selecting a second client device from a plurality of client devices. The second client device is located in communication range of the first client device. The first client device is communicating a first portion of a data flow, via a first wireless link, with a first access point of the one or more access points. The method comprises, in response to determining satisfaction of one or more relay criteria: directing the first access point to generate a second wireless link with the second client device; and directing the first access point to provide first metadata including a first set of relay instructions. The first set of relay instructions instructs the second client device to relay a second portion of the data flow between the first access point and the first client device via the second wireless link.

Scheduling relay of traffic between access point(s) and client device(s)

A method is provided in one example embodiment and may include receiving congestion information for an environment in which a user equipment (UE) is operating; receiving a first request to deliver content to the UE; determining that the environment in which the UE is operating is experiencing congestion based, at least in part, on the congestion information; determining a re-try interval based, at least in part, on the congestion information; and deferring delivery of the content to the UE until the re-try interval has expired. In one example embodiment, the method can include provisioning one or more policy rules for a service data flow associated with the content and communicating the indication indicating that delivery of the content has been deferred to a charging system to set charging information for at least one of a user associated with the UE or a provider of the content.

System and method for deferred delivery of content based on congestion in a network environment

A user equipment (UE) may be in coverage of a local private non-Third Generation Partnership Project (non-3GPP) wireless network (e.g. a Wi-Fi network) of an enterprise. This non-3GPP wireless network may be part of a private communication system of the enterprise which further includes a local private 3GPP network (e.g. a Long-Term Evolution or 'LTE' based network). When the non-3GPP wireless network advertises 'single-authentication' support, the UE may complete authentication for non-3GPP access, obtain a Master Session Key (MSK) from the authentication, and generate an Access Security Management Entity (ASME) key (K) based on the MSK. In further implementations, the UE may obtain a Globally Unique Temporary Identifier (GUTI) from the non-3GPP wireless network. Subsequently, the UE may perform an attach procedure with the local private 3GPP network without performing an authentication procedure, presenting the GUTI that it obtained from the non-3GPP wireless network for 3GPP access.

Efficient authentication and secure communications in private communication systems having non-3GPP and 3GPP access

A method for providing enhanced visibility in heterogeneous network. The method comprises receiving, at a networking device housing a cellular base station and a WLAN access point, cellular network traffic from an electronic device. The method further comprises receiving, at the networking device, WLAN traffic from the electronic device and encapsulating, at the networking device, the cellular network traffic and the WLAN traffic using a common protocol. The method further comprises transmitting the encapsulated cellular traffic and the encapsulated WLAN traffic to a controller.

Enhancing visibility in a heterogeneous network

In one embodiment, a system includes: a download server instantiated on a computing device, and a multiplicity of wireless access points (APs), where the download server is operative to: receive a download request from a mobile device, determine a current location for the mobile device, predict a route for the mobile device based at least on the current location, allocate at least one target AP along the route from among the multiplicity of wireless APs, and in response to the download request, forward at least one download file to the at least one target AP, where the at least one target AP is operative to: receive the at least one download file, identify the mobile device, and download at least part of the download file to the mobile device in an mmWave transmission.

In one embodiment, a technique for information sharing among dynamically grouped vehicles is provided that illustratively comprises making, by a first vehicle of a first plurality of vehicles, a determination that the first plurality of vehicles is a convoy of vehicles traveling as a group; sending, by the first vehicle, a group identifier that is indicative of the convoy and of each of the plurality of vehicles to an access point in communication with the first vehicle; authenticating, by the first vehicle, with the access point using the group identifier; and exchanging, by the first vehicle, first vehicular data with the access point using a first connection of a plurality of connections assigned to the group identifier.
