A cell culturing device includes a plurality of trays that are stacked on top of each other, each of the plurality of trays having a floor and an upstanding encircling sidewall, the floor and the encircling sidewall of each tray bounding a space configured to hold a liquid cell culture medium, the plurality of trays comprising a top tray, a bottom tray and one or more intermediate trays disposed therebetween. The bottom tray and the one or more intermediate trays each have a first venting port extending upwardly from the floor thereof, each first venting port bounding a channel passing through the floor of the corresponding tray and being in fluid communication with an adjacent tray. The channel of the bottom tray is openly exposed so that a gas can flow from the space of the bottom tray through the channel of the bottom tray.

Cell culture device

A cell culture device () of the cultivation of cells. The cell culture device () includes a plurality of trays (), each tray () having a cell growth surface () and at least one wall () extending upwardly from the cell growth surface (). The at least one wall () is configured to receive an additional tray thereon. A ratio of the number of the plurality of trays () per a height dimension of the plurality of trays () is greater than or equal to about 1 tray per 12 mm.

A closure () for a labware device (). The labware device () defines an interior chamber () having at least one opening (). The closure () includes a closure body () configured to be mounted to the labware device () and in fluid communication with the opening (). A vent valve () is mounted for movement relative to the closure body (). The vent valve (), with the closure body (), defines a space () that defines a path between the closure body () and the vent valve () for gas exchange between the interior chamber () and the exterior of the labware device (). A filter () is positioned within the space () and is configured to filter contaminants from gas entering the interior chamber () via the path.

Described are pipettes capable of dispensing both high volumes of liquid and highly accurate smaller volumes of liquid wherein the accuracy of the volume of liquid delivered increases along the length of the pipette. Embodiments of the pipette include an elongated body with an outer surface, an inner surface defining a lumen within the elongated body, a proximal orifice at a proximal end, a distal orifice at a distal end. The intermediate portion includes a first generally frustoconical-shaped portion defined by a first inner diameter proximate the proximal end of the elongated body and a second inner diameter proximate a second end thereof. In an embodiment, the intermediate portion includes a second generally frustoconical-shaped portion defined by a third inner diameter proximate the transition to the first portion and a fourth inner diameter adjacent the distal end of the elongated body.

In one embodiment, a personal hydration system includes a fluid reservoir having first and second spaced apart apertures. A first port is coupled to the first aperture, and a second port is coupled to the second aperture. A flexible tube has a first end that is coupled to the second port for communication with an interior of the fluid reservoir. The personal hydration system further includes a handle having a first end coupled to the first port, and a second end coupled to the second port. A channel near the second end of the handle extends over at least a portion of the first end of the tube and thereby captures the first end of the tube between the channel and the fluid reservoir.

A digital radiography system for imaging a subject. A support structure, coupled to an X-ray source and an X-ray imaging detector, is rotatable about a first axis and is linearly moveable. The X-ray source and the X-ray imaging detector are also rotatable about second and third axes, respectively, to provide an operator with a number of degrees of freedom to move the X-ray source and the X-ray imaging detector to different positions relative to a subject. Further, the system has means for coupling an operator control interface and a display to the X-ray source for permitting an operator to rotate them about a fourth axis so that the operator control interface and display are accessible to the operator such that the position of the operator does not have to change when the positions of the X-ray source and the X-ray detector are changed.

A camera cover assembly has a one-piece front cover and a one-piece guard. The front cover has an outwardly protruding lens hood and an inwardly recessed cup that has a slot defining a resiliently flexible tongue. The tongue has a free margin adjoining the slot and an outwardly protruding boss disposed in spaced relation to the free margin. The guard is mounted to the front cover and has a bezel and a ring. The bezel enshrouds the lens hood. The ring encircles the boss and covers the slot and free margin.
