The motivation of a participant in an incentive program is enhanced by enabling the participant to set goals, report performance related to the goals, and receive feedback on the achievement of the goals. The feedback includes report(s) and/or reward(s). Motivation is further enhanced by heuristically and dynamically adapting the goals according to performance.

Computerized incentive system

Systems and methods create and maintain an auction server operative to receive requests for displaying auction items. The bid values are displayed and received in units that are specific to a particular program in which the user is participating. Bid values can be displayed and received in differing units depending on the particular program. Thus, participants in different programs can bid on the same items using different media types or different currencies. The system automatically converts between the different media types in order to determine highest bidders and bid amounts.

Computerized auction system for use with multiple purchasing media

A computerized incentive program having plateau pricing and a personalized bank-account system, and permitting remote award redemption is disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, a computerized incentive-program system includes a pricing component, which converts a price of each of a plurality of awards into award levels such that each price within a particular price range is converted to a single award level. The system also includes a bank account component, which tracks an award balance for each of a plurality of participants and permits each participant to redeem at least a portion of the award balance for an award. Finally, the system includes a certificate component, which permits a program participant to remotely redeem a certificate having a value at least a portion of the award balance by identifying a serial number unique to the certificate, upon conclusion of the incentive program.
