A method for cleaning contaminated surfaces of surgical waste management equipment. The method includes rinsing surfaces of the equipment with water to remove water soluble contaminants and waste material. A rinse solution is applied to the surfaces of the equipment to provide a residual film thereon. The rinse solution includes a first nonionic alkoxylated alcohol surfactant having an HLB value ranging from about 12 to about 15, a second nonionic alkoxylated alcohol surfactant having an HLB value ranging from about 16 to 20, an aqueous solvent, and a bio-film permeation agent. A total of the first surfactant and the second surfactant in the composition ranges from about 2 to about 20 percent by weight of a total weight of the composition.

Method of cleaning contaminated surfaces

An alkaline composition is described having a first nonionic alkoxylated alcohol surfactant having an HLB value ranging from about 10 to about 15, a second nonionic alkoxylated alcohol surfactant having an HLB value ranging from about 16 to 20, an aqueous solvent, and a bio-film permeation agent. A total amount of the first surfactant and the second surfactant in the composition ranges from about 2 to about 20 percent by weight of a total weight of the composition.

A total of the first surfactant and the second surfactant in the solution ranges from about 2 to about 20 percent by weight of a total weight of the solution and a ratio of the second surfactant to the first surfactant in the solution ranges from about 2:1 to about 4:1.

Process for cleaning surfaces of medical equipment

A rechargeable battery pack (20) having a plurality of rechargeable cells (30) that form a cell cluster (32). Binders (62) formed of electrically insulating material are secured over the top and bottom of the cells. Each binder is formed with a set of openings (64) that exposed the base (52) of each cell which serves as its negative terminal and its head (54), which serves as its positive terminal. The binders are further shaped so that the perimeter sections that define the openings extend around the cell lips (56) integral with the bases (52) that surround the heads (54). Conductive straps (70) extend between the openings over the binders to electrically connect the cells together. Thus, the binders, in addition to securing the cells together, insulate the straps from the underlying cell lips. This insulating function prevents the straps from shorting out the cells to which they are connected. Insulating tape (60) secured around the side walls (56) of the cells prevent the cells from shorting out upon contact.

Rechargeable battery pack and method for manufacturing same

A battery charger for alternately receiving batteries having substantially different charging rate requirements in which the charger has contacts engaged by a battery pack to be recharged, for the purpose of carrying out such recharging. A difference in at least one of the charger contacts is engageable by one of the high and low charge rate battery packs, but not the other. Whether or not that one charger contact is engaged by a battery pack causes the battery charger to supply charging current at different levels to automatically charge such high and low charge rate battery packs at corresponding high and low charge rates.

Charger for batteries of different type

A compact, hermetically sealed, heat dissipating electric power unit comprises a P.C. board having a hole therethrough. A semiconductor electric power control device fits loosely in the hole. A backer of heat and electric current conductive material is bonded in heat and electric current conductive contact (1) with the P.C. board around the perimeter of the hole to hermetically seal the corresponding end of the hole and (2) with an opposed first electrode of the device, the backer acting as an electric current path and at least part of a heat sink for the device, the backer and P.C. board having similar thermal expansion coefficients so as to maintain the hermetic seal. An electrically conductive ground ring is electrically conductively fixed on the other face of the P.C. board and is electrically connected to the second electrode of the device and acts as a further electric current path. A cover of ceramic material has a thermal expansion coefficient similar to that of the core. The cover loosely overlies the device and has a perimeter portion sealed to the P.C. board to form therewith and with the backer a hermetically sealed chamber containing the device.
