A method of delivering goods or services via an encoded medium to a holder includes generating data in a database associated with a central computing station in response to an assignee of the medium and a provider of goods or services separately communicatively linking the medium to a central computing station. The data generated in the database includes the identity of the assignee, the identity of the goods or services associated with the medium, and the identity of the goods or services provided by the provider. A value of the medium is established, wherein the medium assumes different values based on various conditions. After the provider of goods or services provides the goods or services to the holder, the value of the medium is updated and recorded in the database.

Method of delivering goods and services via media

One or more embodiments include a method of delivering a pharmaceutical product via a medium. The pharmaceutical product is associated with the medium and the medium assumes different values based on predetermined business rules. The method includes generating data in a database associated with a central computing station where the data identifies the medium and the product associated with the medium. The database is provisioned with the rules that determine the value of the medium. In response to the holder presenting the medium to a provider of the product for purposes of obtaining the product, a communication from the provider is received identifying the medium. A value for the medium is established based on the rules provisioned in the database. The value of the medium is updated, and that updated value is recorded in the database in response to the provider providing the product to the holder of the medium.

Method of delivering a pharmaceutical product via a medium

A method of providing goods and services to individuals or entities via media entails assigning at least one good or service to a medium and assigning a unique identifier to the medium. Recording information in a database relative to the medium and linking the one or more goods or services assigned to the medium with the identifier of the medium. Thereafter, the medium is distributed to an individual or entity and the individual or entity presents the medium to a provider of goods or services assigned to the medium. Upon presentment the provider delivers one or more of the assigned goods to the individual or entity making presentment. At an appropriate point in the process, a communication is directed to the database recording the results of the transaction between the provider and the individual or entity presenting the medium.

Method of delivering goods and services via a variable value media

A heat-transferable security stamp is provided including a carrier sheet, a top coat layer, at least one design layer between the carrier sheet and the top coat layer, a release layer between the carrier sheet and the design layer, and a base coat layer between the release layer and the design layer. The release layer includes a water-borne release component. The base coat layer includes a water-borne base coat component. The design layer includes a water-borne design component. The top coat layer includes a water-borne top coat component. The carrier sheet is resistant to heat above a predetermined heat transfer temperature. The adhesive release component of the release layer is operative to secure the carrier sheet to the base coat layer at temperatures below the heat transfer temperature and to permit release of the carrier sheet from the base coat layer at temperatures above the heat transfer temperature. The base coat component of the base coat layer is operative to function as a barrier between the release layer and the design layer at temperatures above and below the heat transfer temperature. The design component of the design layer is operative to provide an indication of the presence of the security stamp. The top coat component is operative to adhere to a substrate upon contact with the substrate and upon application of heat above the heat transfer temperature. The recited water-borne components may be capable of being borne in water as an aqueous emulsion, an aqueous dispersion, or an aqueous solution.

Heat-transferable security stamp

A pouch label is constructed from only two plies, provides two distinct pockets, and can optionally provide additional labels or printed material including forms. The first ply forms the label ply while the second ply is a liner ply die cut into at least two component parts, such that a first liner portion is circumscribed by a second liner portion. An adhesive is applied between the label ply and the liner ply such that the second liner ply portion is releasably held against the label ply, and only a portion of the periphery of the first liner ply portion is secured to the label ply such that a pouch is formed with the back of the label ply. The pouch is formed because there is no adhesive within the perimeter of the first liner portion. The label ply preferably includes at least one line of weakening scored across the pouch portion and positioned such that tearing the label ply along the line of weakening opens the pouch formed between the label ply and the first liner ply. Further, a tab portion juxtaposed with the pouch portion of the label ply adjacent to the pouch opening can be provided to ease placement, stuffing and sealing the pouch portion of the label.

Process for the formation of a heat-transferable security stamp entirely free of non-aqueous solvents

In a quantity of label-price tag composite forms, each composite form includes two shipping labels and a plurality of price tags associated with each of the shipping labels. The form includes a pair of shipping labels, each shipping label having a top edge, a bottom edge, and a pair of side edges. Each shipping label has one side edge abutting the other shipping label. Each of a pair of price tag sheets has a top edge, a bottom edge, and a pair of side edges. Each price tag sheet is secured at its top edge to the bottom edge of an associated shipping label. The width of each price sheet is less than the width of the shipping label associated therewith. A strip of discard material bridges the space between adjacent side edges of the pair of price tag sheets. The pair of price tag sheets are spaced apart such that the non-adjacent side edges thereof are inwardly of the non-abutting side edges of the pair of shipping labels. A layer of pressure sensitive adhesive is provided on the back side of the shipping labels, the price tag sheets, and the strip of discard material, and a sheet of release material is provided beneath the shipping labels, the price tag sheets, and the strip of discard material.
