Techniques and devices are disclosed for fabrication layout device. The device includes a table with a work surface. The work surface being a continuous surface and configured to support a plurality of railing pieces for fabrication of a railing assembly. The device further includes a beam located above the work surface. The beam is operatively coupled to the table, such that the beam moves relative to the work surface in a first direction. Attached to the beam is an ink dispenser. The ink dispenser is configured to move along the beam in a second direction different from the first direction. The ink dispenser is further configured to dispense ink onto the work surface of the table in the form of a pattern of the railing assembly. Railing pieces are positioned on the pattern so that they can be assembled to one another.

Desiccant bag and filter assembly adapted for insertion into an integrated condenser dryer chamber of a vehicle or mobile air conditioning system or the like. A support member () lies along the exterior of a desiccant containing pouch () with the pouch secured at both of its longitudinal ends to the support. A filter member is integral with the assembly and positioned at one end of the pouch. Rigid stand off members () are positioned at respective ends of the assembly.

A desiccant cartridge () having a seal () therearound for forming a proper seal between cartridge () and canister () of a receiver/dryer or accumulator assembly includes a cup () extending along an axis () having inner wall portion () and outer wall portion () connected to transverse portion () to define a chamber () containing desiccant particles (). Cap () is secured to cup () to secure the desiccant particles () inside chamber (). Outer wall portion () is provided with the seal () that is composed of a flexible thermoplastic elastomer that is resistant to heat during welding shut of the canister ().

In accordance with one preferred embodiment, a desiccant cartridge () for insertion into an integrated condenser/receiver () comprises a rigid stand-off member () and a porous desiccant bag (). The preferred rigid stand-off member comprises spaced inner and outer pad portions and an elongated stand-off portion terminating in the inner pad portion. The inner pad may include a tab portion. The porous desiccant bag is positioned between the inner and outer pad portions and affixed to one or both of the inner and outer pad portions. A rigid cap with a plurality of holes may be provided to which a second end of the porous desiccant bag may be attached. The porous desiccant bag includes first and second flat end seals, one of which is secured to attachment tab portions.

Desiccant cartridge for an integrated condenser/receiver and method of making same

A desiccant container () which comprises a generally cylindrically cross-sectioned cup, two dual-density fiberglass discs (), desiccant material (), and a cap (). The cup includes an outer annular portion, an inner tubular portion, and a bottom which connect together to define a space within. The cap () has a planar portion with an aperture for receiving the inner wall portion of the cup and is designed for receipt in the chamber to cover the opening. The cap further includes an outer annular rim portion extending transversely from the planar portion. The peripheral flange portion having tabs with an edge portion which permit the cap to cooperate with the outer wall portion having tabs with an edge portion which permit the cap to cooperate with the outer wall portion so that the cap can be retained within the chamber in one of a number of axially spaced positions to prevent shifting of, and escape of the desiccant.

This invention relates generally to desiccant cartridges for use in R/Ds or accumulators canisters of automotive air conditioning systems. More specifically, this invention relates to a desiccant cartridge including a cup having inner and outer walls coaxially disposed wherein the inner wall defines an elongated center tube having opposing first and second ends. The first end of the center tube communicating with the outlet port in an R/D or accumulator canister to eliminate the fluid flow tube used therein.

Desiccant cartridge retention device

An adsorbent package is provided for use within the sealed canister of a fluid flow tube of an air conditioning system. The adsorbent package includes a desiccant bag formed of a pouch having a sealed first end and a substantially cylindrical second end. A filter cap is slidably and sealingly received within the second end of the pouch. The cap includes a resilient sealing ring formed proximate a porous end wall. The sealing ring slidably and sealingly engages an inner surface of the canister. The package is constructed of a non-woven spun bonded nylon and can therefore be snugly received within the tight confines of fluid flow tube or canister sections of an integrated condenser receiver.
