The present invention is drawn toward a method of forming conductive paths on a substrate using ink-jet technology. An ink-jettable suspension or solution can be formed containing a conductive particulate having certain desired conductive properties. The suspension can then be ink-jetted onto a substrate such as ceramic, epoxy glass, or other materials in a given pattern using various ink-jet printing technologies and methods. Depending on the chosen conductive particulates, suspension components, and substrate, the printed pattern of conductive particulates may then be heated to further enhance the conductive properties of the particulates through bonding and/or sintering.

Methods for ink-jet printing circuitry

An optically addressable display includes a plurality of receptor and emitter pairs where each pair is for receiving optical display information and for generating light indicative of the display information. Each individual receptor and emitter pair is coupled electrically by an associated control circuit that facilitates driving the emitter so it generates either the received display information or annotation information generated by a light wand that is capable of being optically coupled to individual ones of the plurality of receptors. Each control circuit has a pulse density capture circuit that receives a pulse train signal indicative of a desired brightness or hue levels and drives an individual one of the emitters on and off at a determined duty cycle to produce the desired brightness or hue levels. In another embodiment sets of receptor and emitter pairs are grouped in cells, where each cell is capable of generating N of shades of different colors.

Display system and method of using same

The present invention relates to a display configured to display images that includes multiple display elements capable of controlling light within a visible-light spectrum. The display elements are arranged over a display surface of the display. The display also includes one or more receivers arranged with the display elements over the display surface of the display. The receivers are coupled with the display elements and receive transmitted image information. The receivers activate the display elements in response to, and in correspondence with, the image information.

Method and apparatus for image and video display

A display system, including an optical transmitter configured to optically transmit digital image information associated with an image to be displayed. The system also includes an active display including a decoder electrically coupled with a plurality of display elements that are configured to produce visible light in response to electrical stimulation. The decoder is configured to receive the digital image information and in response produce a control signal for each of the display elements, the control signals being usable to individually control visible light produced by the display elements so as to cause display of the image.

Active display system and method with optical addressing

A sub-pixel assembly of one embodiment of the invention is disclosed that includes a number of active display units. Each active display unit is capable of controlling light, and has a turn-on threshold responsive to a signal. The active display units are organized by their turn-on thresholds to achieve dithering of the light, in response to the signal.

Image display

A display system including a projector and a display. The projector is adapted to wirelessly transmit image information associated with an image to be displayed. The display includes a plurality of display cells that are configured to collectively display the image based on the image information transmitted by the projector. Each display cell includes a receiver, display element and storage device. The receiver is configured to wirelessly receive a portion of the image information, and the storage device is adapted to store a control signal corresponding to the received portion of the image information. The display element is configured to display the corresponding portion of the image in response to application of the control signal from the storage device.

A memory storage device includes a memory cell configurable to have at least a first conductive state and includes a first and second conductor each electrically coupled to the memory cell. A regulation circuit is configured to regulate a sense voltage on the second conductor to be independent of a current conducted through the first conductor when the memory cell is configured to have the first conductive state.

A fuel injector includes a first input for receiving a fuel and a second input for receiving a non-fuel fluid. The fuel injector also includes a fluid ejector that includes a first drop ejector for discretely ejecting droplets of the fuel, the fluid ejector also including a second drop ejector for discretely ejecting droplets of the non-fuel fluid.

Variable fuel and fluid delivery system

An improved fuel injector is disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, the fuel injector includes a first fluid input for receiving a first fluid; a second fluid input for receiving a second fluid; and a drop ejector configured to discretely eject fluid in a digital manner, wherein the drop ejector is further configured to receive the first and second fluids and to eject discrete droplets of the first fluid and discrete droplets of the second fluid. In another embodiment of the invention, the fuel injector includes a drop ejector configured to discretely eject fluid in a digital manner, wherein the drop ejector includes a first set of firing chambers and a second set of firing chambers, wherein each firing chamber of the first set has a first volume, and wherein each firing chamber of the second set has a second volume.

Variable fuel delivery system and method

A micro-pump for fuel injection includes a housing, a pressure regulator, a combustible liquid inlet conduit in fluid communication with the pressure regulator, and a drop ejector on the housing and in fluid communication with the pressure regulator. The drop ejector contains a nozzle capable of ejecting a combustible liquid in a drop-by-drop fashion from the drop ejector. Further, an apparatus for generating a combustible vapor for a combustible fuel device such as an internal combustion engine. The apparatus includes a micro-pump for ejecting a combustible liquid drop-by-drop therefrom and means, connected to the micro-pump, for channeling a stream of air through the drops ejected by the micro-pump thereby generating a combustible vapor for the combustible fuel device.

The present invention includes as one embodiment a method for printing ink on a print media with a fluid ejection device of an inkjet printing mechanism, comprising generating first grid pattern data and second grid pattern data different from the first grid pattern data, sending the first grid pattern data to a first printing mechanism of the fluid ejection device and sending the second grid pattern data to a second printing mechanism of the fluid ejection device.

A fuel injector includes a drop ejector for discretely ejecting drops of combustible liquid in a digital manner.
