A work vehicle includes a cooling fan that selectively and/or periodically runs in reverse in order to discharge accumulated dirt or debris from one or more coolers. The reverse activation of the fan is prevented from initiating when the operator of the running vehicle is outside the operator cab in the vicinity of the coolers. In an exemplary embodiment, activation of a parking brake interrupts or prevents reverse activation of the fan, though a fuel door sensor may also be used. A minimum engine speed may be specified to ensure adequate power for maximum fan power during the reverse operation.

A system is disclosed for preventing power head rollover of a vehicle during a dump operation. The system includes a dump signal indicating when the vehicle is dumping, a strut sensor reading indicating a condition of the front struts, and a controller receiving the dump signal and strut readings, and activating a warning signal when the dump signal indicates the vehicle is dumping and the strut reading indicates the front wheels may be lifted off the ground. The strut sensors can be height, pressure or other types of sensors. The controller can also disable further lifting of the dump body when the dump signal indicates the vehicle is dumping and the strut sensor indicates the front wheels may be lifted off the ground. The system can include a strut limit, and the controller can act based on comparing the strut reading to the strut limit.

An articulated vehicle is provided having a cab portion, a trailer portion, and a coupling assembly positioned between the cab portion and the trailer portion. A front wheel assembly may support the cab portion, and a rear wheel assembly may support the trailer portion. The vehicle may include a modulated retarder system configured to slow the vehicle when descending a slope.
