A method includes receiving a first notification of an unmanned aerial system (UAS) flying in an area. The method also includes sending a second notification to multiple mobile devices of multiple users located in the area, where the second notification requests the multiple users to look for the UAS. The method further includes receiving information about the UAS from one or more of the mobile devices of one or more of the users, where the information is obtained by the one or more mobile devices. The method also includes determining an assessment of the UAS based on the information about the UAS received from the one or more mobile devices. In addition, the method includes sending a third notification to at least some of the mobile devices, where the third notification includes information regarding the assessment of the UAS.

Crowd-sourced detection and tracking of unmanned aerial systems

The concepts, systems and methods described herein are directed towards encrypting optical signals prior to the optical signals being sensed, for example, by a sensor. An optical phased array (OPA) may be disposed between an optical chain and a sensor to encrypt an optical signal being sensed before the signal is received at the sensor. The method includes receiving an optical signal having a plurality of beams organized in a first arrangement at an optical phased array, encrypting the optical signal in the optical phased array by steering or otherwise phase shifting the plurality of beams from the first arrangement to a second arrangement, transmitting the plurality of beams in the second arrangement from the optical phased array to a sensor and sensing the encrypted optical signal having the plurality of beams in the second arrangement at the sensor.

Systems and methods for encrypting optical signals

An integrated operator workspace adapted for incorporation into a mobile computing vehicle. The integrated operator workspace includes a base having a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge. A first operator computing station is located adjacent to the first longitudinal edge of the base and a second operator computing station is located adjacent to the second longitudinal edge of the base. In this arrangement, the first and second operator computing stations are separated from each other by a first predetermined space, which permits unimpeded ingress and egress of the integrated operator workspace by a first user operating at the first operator station and a second user operating at the second operator station.
