Methods and systems for cleaning, coating and sealing leaks in existing nonmetal pipes, in a single operation. A nonmetal piping system can be cleaned in one pass by dry particulates forced and pulled by air throughout the piping system by a generator and a vacuum. Nonmetal pipes with nonmetal fittings or nonmetal pipes with metal fittings or nonmetal pipes with a combination of metal and nonmetal fittings can be protected from wear by water erosion and rupturing, extending the life of pipes made of a nonmetal material selected from at least one of plastics, PVC (polyvinyl chloride), composite materials, or polybutylene. Coatings can be applied to nonmetal pipes having diameters up to approximately 6&#x2033;. Leak sealants of at least approximately 4 mils thick can cover insides of nonmetal pipes, and can include novel mixtures of fillers and epoxy materials, and viscosity levels. A positive pressure can be maintained within the nonmetal pipes during applications. Piping systems can be returned to service within approximately 96 hours.

The method can include the steps of generating pressurized gas into pipes to generate a moving air stream, intermittently injecting separate spaced apart bursts of abrasive particles into the moving air stream with different cumulative amounts of the intermittent bursts of the abrasive particles that vary based on different piping diameters, cleaning interior wall surfaces of the pipes with the intermittent bursts of the particles, reducing at least one of burrs or interior lips in the interior wall surfaces of the pipes, with the intermittent bursts of the particles and removing abrasive particles and debris caused by each one of the separate burst shots of the abrasive particles.
