A compartmented package including an outer container having a side wall portion joining an outer closed end and an outer sealed fill end, the outer container defining a first chamber portion adjacent to the outer closed end and a second chamber portion adjacent to the outer fill end, the first and second chamber portions being spaced apart in a direction extending between the outer closed and fill ends and the outer container further defining a stop surface; a first fluid substance retained in the first chamber portion of said outer container; an inner container retained in the second chamber portion of the outer container and having an inner closed end and an inner sealed fill end, the inner container defining an abutment surface engaging the stop surface so as to prevent movement of the inner container into the first chamber portion of the outer container; and a second fluid substance retained in the inner container and sealed from the first fluid substance.

Compartmented package

A liquid dispenser including a hollow plastic adapter defining a cavity extending between axially aligned open ends thereof, the cavity having a uniform cylindrical portion terminating at one of the open ends and a tapered portion joined to the cylindrical portion and tapering inwardly toward and terminating at the other open end; and a hollow metal hub defining a passage extending between axially aligned open ends thereof, the hub having a first cylindrical outer surface portion with a given diameter slightly greater than the uniform cylindrical portion and press fit therein, a second cylindrical outer surface portion with a predetermined diameter less than the given diameter and projecting out of the other open end of the adapter, and a tapered outer surface portion joining the first and second cylindrical surface portions and engaging the tapered portion of the adapter. Also included in the dispenser are an elongated metal tubular spout projecting from one end of the hub and defining a liquid discharge path communicating with the passage and a plastic container bonded to the one end of the adapter and defining a liquid filled volume communicating with the passage.

Lubricating liquid dispenser

A mixing and dispensing receptacle including a first container defining a first nozzle portion and a first sealed chamber retaining a first substance and a rupturable wall portion separating the first chamber from the interior of the first nozzle portion; and a second container defining a second chamber retaining a second substance and a second nozzle portion disposed at least partially within the interior of the first nozzle portion and circumferentially sealed thereto so as to sealingly isolate the second substance. The second nozzle portion is movable axially relative to the first nozzle portion so as to pierce the rupturable wall portion and provide communication between the first and second chambers. One of the nozzle portions comprises a tapered outer surface adapted for engagement with a mating coupling member and an aseptic shield covers the tapered outer surface and is removable therefrom. After penetration of the rupturable wall portion by the second nozzle portion, the first and second substances are transferred between the first and second chambers to provide mixing thereof. The tapered outer surfaces is then engaged with a mating coupling member and the mixed substances discharged thereinto. Prior to its removal, the aseptic shield protects the tapered nozzle surface from any form of contamination.
