A rocker valve includes a number of rails to transitionally connect an arm of a spring to the rocker valve such that the arm of the spring transitions across the rocker valve to actuate the rocker valve, a first side of the rocker valve to selectively engage with a valve seat based on a position of the arm of the spring relative to the first side of the rocker valve, and a number of pivot arms to pivot the rocker valve between a closed position and an open position such that the first side of the rocker valve selectively engages with the valve seat to regulate pressure inside a print head assembly.

In one embodiment, a component for dispensing a fluid includes: a plurality of fluid ejection orifices arrayed in a plane; and an elongated bumper extending along one side of the array generally in a plane intersecting the plane of the array and the bumper having a protruding exterior surface that includes a first part inclining away from the array and a contiguous second part inclining back toward the array.

A fluid-jet precision-dispensing device cartridge assembly includes a housing, a fluid-jet precision-dispensing device die, and a flexible circuit. The housing has a first surface and a second surface. The second surface is non-parallel to the first surface. The housing is insertable in a fluid-jet precision-dispensing device. The die is disposed at the first surface of the housing. The circuit is attached to the housing and wraps around the housing from the first surface to the second surface. The circuit includes electrically conductive traces and contacts that are electrically coupled to the die to transmit power and communicate signals between the device and the die. The circuit includes one or more regions having no functionality in usage of the assembly to precisely dispense fluid. The regions are rigid and/or thermally conductive to improve attachment of the circuit to the housing.

The present disclosure relates to a replaceable ink container for providing ink to an inkjet printing system. The inkjet printing system is of the type having a receiving station for receiving the replaceable ink container. The receiving station has a fluid inlet and a sealing structure. The replaceable ink container includes a reservoir defining a fluid outlet and a sealing surface proximate the fluid outlet. The replaceable ink container also includes a sealing material contained within the reservoir for wetting the sealing surface to seal defects between the sealing surface and the sealing structure.

An ink jet printing apparatus that includes a springbacked fluid interconnect seal that provides a seal between an ink handling component and an ink pipe that is attached to the ink handling component. The spring-backed fluid interconnection seal more particularly includes a generally conically tapered resilient seal, and a pre-loaded spring configured to axially extend or tension the seal. An exemplary embodiment of the invention includes a groove in the sealing face which allows the use of a liquid sealant. The groove holds the sealant in place through capillary forces, and also by virtue of trough-like shape protects the sealant from being wiped away through mechanical member.

A rotary internal combustion engine is disclosed which provides a power rotor that rotates about its center on a shaft in a stator housing. The power rotor has spring-loaded sliding vanes seated in diametrically opposed radial slots thereon. The outer ends of the vanes contact the interior surface of the stator housing at all times as they sweep through an arcuate compression and expansion chamber defined therein. Adjacent the stator housing is a housing portion having a cylindrical cavity in which a rotary transfer valve rotates on a shaft. The periphery of the rotary transfer valve which has a sealing contact with the interior surface of the cylindrical cavity has generally U-shaped pockets formed on diametrically opposed portions thereof. A cam wheel assembly is keyed to the shaft of the power rotor and a follower in the form of a timing wheel is keyed to the shaft of the rotary transfer valve. The action of the continuously rotating cam wheel assembly on the timing wheel provides for intermittently rotatably advancing the rotary transfer valve to position each pocket thereon opposite a port provided on the rear end of the compression chamber and then opposite a port provided on the front end of the expansion chamber to thereby transfer a compressed quantity of fuel-air mixture from the leading side of a vane to the trailing side thereof as the vane is rotatably advanced by the power rotor from the compression chamber into the expansion chamber.
